Write For Us At...Insider Racing News

Do you have a love for writing? Do you have any experience in journalism?

Insider Racing News is looking for a knowledgeable -- passionate -- upbeat and loyal writer that can produce at least one auto racing column per week.

I know you like Nextel Cup racing or you wouldn't be here. We're looking for people that have a passion for writing about racing, Nextel Cup in particular. You don't have to have any previous experience, although it's preferred, just a basic knowledge of what you are writing about. The best writers are the ones that write about what they know about.

You might be asking yourself, what would it pay? We are at this point in our evolution, a non-profit web site. We didn't plan it that way, but what we can offer you is National exposure. Your articles will also be read by the entire NASCAR community, the drivers, the team owners, the pit crewmen and others involved in auto racing. That's the best we can do right now.

If you think you would like to give writing a try, submit an article and we'll talk. We reserve the right do the editing and the titling of each article.

What type of articles would we want? It can be anything that pertains to racing. Something that happened to you at the track, what you think about the current state of affairs in Nextel Cup, maybe something that you are upset about. Maybe a fantasy article, as seen through the eyes of a child. Many, many ideas can be kicked around.

The minimum length of the articles should be at least 500 words, more would be better if you can expand on your ideas.

It must be exclusive to Insider Racing News and all original published material becomes the property of Insider Racing News.

We won't tolerate language that you wouldn't want yours or other kids to read. No driver bashing. Rants are acceptable as long as they are civil. It's perfectly OK to express an opinion as long as it's not just a mean spirited piece.

Controversy is OK also. Do you have strong opinions on racing? In fact, it's usually the most common type of article written on Internet web sites. You may have to open up a new e-mail account though, you'll get lots of mail. Some good and some not so good. You'll have to be able to endure and handle that also.

Why not give it a try and submit an article, what have you got to lose?

Looks like Ron is looking for some new talent. :) I met Ron a few years back through a mutual friend and we had a good time chit chatting. He told me that I should write something for his site, but warned me that what I wrote would be read by many people and that any thing that wasn't true would be sure to come out. That was his only advice and I was tempted to give him an article or two, but rethought the whole thing and decided that wasn't for me. Hope any of you who would like to give this a shot do so.
