NBC is producing these races for the remainder of the year.

You're correct. CW will start its own production next year. At this point, the only difference is the network carrying the signal.

I’m at a concert in Cedar Point and they have the race on. I don’t know if it’s their TV, local CW affiliate, or NBC/CW, but picture looks very off.

Weird since NBC picture quality is usually the best of the networks, except for maybe Fox 4K (which is just their HD feed upscaled).
