Xfinity RACE thread --- Martinsville

I love how everyone licks Jr’s backside and praises him as a racer’s racer, but he’s one of the worst offenders in employing these entitled rich pricks. He doesn’t have the balls to park Smith or anything, that Pilot and TMC check is too important.

For every Josh Berry and Justin Allgaier he employs, there’s a Sammy Smith and Sam Mayer.

Sad that the sport has come to this, something needs to happen to clean it up.
I agree this has gone beyond good hard racing. It has become a clown show and demolation derby, a total disservice.

They need to start penalizing them a lap for that king of crap.

Some off these XfinitySeries drivers really have a toddlers mentality. Run a guy over because he gave you the finger? Geezzzz need a safe space? HTFU boys…

Smith just made himself look like the idiot he is. What a dope. He said the 54 would have done the same, well he didn't you douchebag. You used the 54 as a four wheel brake package. The 54 schooled you all day and you did what any driver with no talent would do.Pathetic

They really messed up on the camara work if Carla Metts was doing the interview. They should have backed up to provide a full body shot.
Kim Coon did his interview I believe, but the rest still applies.

This race was an embarrassment to the sport. Not a single one of the morons in the series deserves a Cup ride. Somebody needs to pimp slap a few of these rich punks and remind them this isn’t ****** iRacing.

Fitting that Austin Hill flukes into the win after all the BS.

I agree with your first sentence.

I’m just catching up, I didn’t watch the rave but seen what happened. Hate to say, but Jr employs a bitch that drives his 8.

So you drove into him like 5 car lengths back because he flicked you off? What a mental midget. You didn’t move him….you ran him over.

I wonder what Jrs dirty mo media podcast will say about this.
Something tells me Jr. will be : 50% Sammys fault, 50% NASCAR's fault.

Nascar should sit Sammy for 3 races and then Jr. should fire him.
That will straighten this mess quick and in a hurry.

Until the next Martinsville with the "win and you are in" jamboree.

I've watched maybe a handful of NASCAR races in the last two years and if anyone asks me why I'm gonna show them the finish of yesterday's race.
If there's a silver lining in this than it's the fact Sammy didn't win. Of course Sammy pulled a BS move but at the same time the "rich kids" talk is a bit unjustified.
How are young drivers support to race cleanly when we see similar moves at the top level of the sport several times a year?

NASCAR needs to hand out penalties for intentional and/or excessively stupid wrecks if they want to be taken serious as a sport.

This series is about 2 cautions away from being totally unwatchable. Might be time to cut the race length to truck race length, or combine the 2 series into 1 super-hack series

I don't think that is a priority of Nascar myself. That isn't good for their ratings. They will probably slap Slamming Sammy of the wrists like they did Austin and move on. Most fans don't realize how big of a carrot they are holding in front of drivers for the win and you are in thing. The Wood Brothers besides the playoff berth that year were awarded over 3 million dollars and other perks for this year. See the team improvement with that cash?
What would any Xfinity driver do with a jackpot staring you in the face. Sammy saw stars. Nascar is in the news. On to Bristol.

Ok the move was horse**** but now we are into the NASCAR fan dramatically overreacting to it and using it to bash everything they don't like about the sport period. Which is usually as dumb if not dumber.

I'm at the point where I find the drama queens comical, and the so called click bait spokesmen for the sport boring.
There is nothing like a good ol half drunk fan belting out a I HATE NASCAR!!, Nascar has to be embarrassed with this complete joke of a race. I've had to hold my nose for years watching Nascar races. I'm never going to watch another race again, and neither is anybody in my family. Even my X wife said she isn't going to watch anymore and neither is my step half sister.

Not sure if I agree. Earnhardt and many others used to make the same moves 30 years ago before the playoff format was introduced.
Kinda hard to rule out what Austin Dillon did and all of the hidey hoes going on with race manipulation surrounding the playoffs.
