Let's see if NASCAR has the stones to put him on probation.

Harvick intentionally put Legano in the wall on the last lap for position.Great racin ,nothing compared to the Carl deal.Have at it boys.

and the same happened to Kelly Bires about half way thru the race when he went off the 18's front bumper.

HEY! Last lap, Harvick had the faster car, Logano kept blocking him, so what's a guy to do? Harvick didn't need to punt Logano that hard but it is Bristol and it was for position. What else can you say other than, that's racin'.

:beerbang: Let's not whine for a penalty every time or we will go back to boring racing again.Nascar thought that all those penalties every time a driver even said a bad word on TV was what we wanted.Let them race.

I'm surprised Harvick had as much patience as he did. The TV crew knew it was coming, just look at how much time they devoted to that "battle for position". How many times did Harvick give him a bump to move him and how many times did he come down and chop Harvick?

Logano may be showing promise of becoming a decent driver but he thinks he's deserving of special treatment. You don't get what you don't earn.

Welcome to the big leagues.

The fact Lagano doesnt give anybody back what he gets is why he will keep getting run over. Like ESPN said he will keep getting hit until he stands up and dishes it back out.

I'm with ya! Everyone complains how bring it all is, but as soon as somone gets punted, people want heads to roll.

Maybe Happy earned some special treatment for tommarrows race from Joey.

Sooooooo you really think NASCAR should be putting everyone on probation when they hit another car? Seriously??????

What's good for the goose (Edwards) is good for the Gander (Harvick). I don't think many would argue that Harvick's move today was intentional. I guess it all depends on what one thinks of the driver doing the punting; if he's a favorite, then it's no foul, but if he's disliked, he "..could have killed innocent women and children!".

Big difference in racing for position on the last lap and the guy keeps cutting you off to someone 150 laps down intentionally taking out a top 10 car.

Big difference. Harvick was racing for position. Edwards was clearly after retribution. Nothing to gain.

Nevertheless, Edwards' critics main thrust was that intentionally turning someone no matter what the motivation could get someone hurt.

Never the less ...nothin. No comparison. Wait till Martinsville, someone else will get wrecked racing for position and we will say the same thing. That's racin. Cause it is.

i agree. joey needs to assert that payback's a bit** or he will become an easy target for more aggressive drivers. he should remind that to harvick...today.

So...what you're saying is that nobody should hit anyone on any race track?

That's not what I'm saying at all. NASCAR sent a message of sorts by putting Edwards on probation for rough driving but didn't so much as call Harvick to the trailer. Many fans thought that Edwards penalty was too light and that he should have been suspended. There's got to be more consistency.

Still a huge difference. Edwards was 150 laps down, and what he pulled was clear retaliation. Harvick punted someone to get a position coming to the checkered flag at Bristol.

They said "go at it, boys." Yesterday's punting of Logano was just that...going at it on a short track. Last week's pure retaliation was way beyond what NASCAR probably means by "go at it."

If they the called Harvick to the trailer for what he did, that would completely make them look like idiots after the new go-at-it attitude they're trying to enhance.

Good try VADIRT but some folks will never get it.Don't understand why at all. I am as much a Carl fan as anybody, and I get it.Some folks just don't.It isn't about the individual drivers at all.I know that they will see the light when their favorite driver is taken out intentionally by some other driver many laps down.

Difference between Harvick, Brad and Carl is that Harvick is leading the points and the other two are also-rans. :D :D

Did you see what happened to Larry pearson yesterday? I doubt Glotzbach was doing 190.

It's really starting to sound like you're a proponent of "no-touch" racing. Remnd me to stop watching when you take over:rolleyes:

It sounds like you don't know how to read. I'm a proponent of equal enforcement of rules and polocies.

Equal enforcement of rules and policies requires the actions to be of the same too. The two incidents you are comparing are NOT equal. One was committed by a driver 150+ laps down and the other was by two drivers racing for postion. Plus they weren't even in the same series.

Exactly my point, thank you:D

If you want equality, you must first have equal actions. The two were not only from different series, they were two completeky different circumstances. One was purely retalotory, one was for position.

So these two incidents should be treated the same?

And PB, by you wanting action taken on Harvick for a racing punt is just begging for "no-touch" racing, which is exactly my point. If every driver were to get hauled to the trailer for something as simple as that, we'd again have the no-touch racing, which is what I'm calling you on.
