Lights went out about 9:30 this morning. Came back on about 10 minutes ago.

Went out for lunch and found the cause. A huge tree had fallen across the main lines about a mile from the substation closest to my house.

But talk about a day wasted ---- couldn't do anything but sit and read by the window. I'm waiting now for the water heater to heat up enough so I can get my "morning" shower. LOL

I'm glad you're okay, what caused the tree to fall, wind?

There wasn't that much wind --- but, the ground is so soft with all the rain we've had in the past 2 weeks, it wouldn't take much to make it fall.
Thank goodness it didn't take out the pole --- again, the ground is so soft it just leaned over. We got lucky.

Had my "morning" shower and about to bake cookies.

Pre Thanksgiving cookies, yum. :)

Too many ways to lose power! I was driving to the gas station the other night and saw three huge power flashes that caused power to be out for an hour in part of town. We had no storms in the area so I wasn't sure what caused it. Turns out, they came to the conclusion that it was either a squirrel or a bird.
