:dual9mm: I am sure that this has been beaten to death but is always a good subject to me!!! What changes would you make for the plate races and why???

And what would make Nascar better for you if you could change things over there as well...
 
Put the 22 gallon fuel cell back on so it'd be exciting for the fans and we can stress the drivers out. :)
 
I say take the plates off. Maybe use moters with less horsepower. I think that would help in plates. Be consistance in the rules that is all I ask. :lol:
 
I wouldnt take off the plate, they'rd be some teams that'd cheat with the horsepower idea you proposed. And besides, theres no way to slow down the cars by 2000 rpm other than the plate. :huh:

What makes you think that teams don't cheat on horsepower on non RP tracks. If it were that easy to cheat at Daga And Tona. Then there would be a lot of cheating at other tracks,
 
I agree with Texas Lady. That's better than having the plates. I'd also go back to the 22 gallon fuel tanks.
 
I don't know what the answer is, but something has to be done to bring racing back to Daytona and Dega.

What I can't believe is that NASCAR; with all the info and technology available, can't find a solution to this problem. Whether it's a combo of spoiler, front valence being lifted, or a smaller motor, there is an answer that would help prevent the huge wrecks and give the car back to the driver to drive.

Oh and drop the 12 gallon fuel tanks. All they do is reqiure more pitstops and a greater chance someone will be hurt on pit road.
 
I think they should go back to the rules in 2000 and 01 with the strip on the roof. It gave them throttle response and the races were exciting.
 
Raise, the front valence and lower the rear wing. Harden the tires and take at least an inch off their width. Reduce the engine displacement to 4L and CR to 9:1. NO PLATES. When they figure out how to get more power out of the 4L drop it to 3.5 then 3, then 2.5 and so on. NO PLATES.
