RATE THE RACE: Texas I

Hotpass makes it so much better. The networks miss so much.

But still, if you don't like like the race just watch something else.

Jimmie Johnson. FOUR 2nd place finishes over the last FIVE spring TEXASS races.

5. I rarely rate anything below that because at least I'm watching a NASCAR race vs., ... say, a Desperate Housewives episode.
A 5 means an average rating in my book. That said, not much I'll remember from this race after the season is over.

As for the poster who claims anyone who didn't like this race has no business watching NASCAR? Sounds like something I would have said about 25 years ago - when I was a diehard.
I ain't no diehard no more, though.

But I'll keep watching , whether you like it or not.

You can't subscribe now dayz. You just have it. Channel 795- 798
really? that would be cool if true i will check it out but when I paid for it it was all HMS teams it would be nice if you could pick any driver you want to see.

-100, worst race I've seen in over a decade.
LOL EVER...guess that was because of the lack of yellows and wrecks...when the best drivers and the best crew chiefs and best mechanics win a race it sucks...why do you pretend to be a fan? and my guy won this one but if you look back I love the races that the best teams win where the best teams win without the yellows to help them...AKA JIMMY needs those to win I could not believe that another hat didn't pop up at the end.I bet Chad told nascar they didn't have the fuel for a green white checkered so they did not throw it.

I could certainly be wrong, because that's bound to happen sooner or later, but I think JimmieGordon2448 may have been referring to the nascar.com's online Trackpass and not DirecTV's Hotpass.

for my race rating. It was said earlier and I agree, Hotpass is the way to watch a race these days. It's too bad that it can't be offered through all cable/satellite providers. I've been watching it exclusively this season and have enjoyed the races more than ever.

I missed the race but by the looks of this thread, I'm guessing a Ford won ;)

It was a 10 for me . Incredibly complicated for the crew chiefs , keeping up with the track changes with pretty much all green flag stops. No wrecks ,what 2 cautions?...nobody whining about them..Jimmy and Jeff came up through the field ,as did others. Rudi had a solid run ,should be locked into the top 35. Great to see Mark Martin and Truex running well. Even Kurt Busch had a great race. All of the crew chiefs deserve a big "atta boy' .

I'll give you that, but no where near a 10, 5 at best, racing is about racing not crew chief decisions which means passing, how much passing was there in the top 10 the last 20 laps?
BOOOOORRRRRING

This is the argument folks here have against restrictor plate racing. Not enough chance for the faster cars to seperate themselves from the slower cars. Individual drivers and crews don't get the chance to make a difference . Here you have the opposite of a resitictor plate race and we call it boring. Well ..not to me , I like em both . Nascar racing is all about a different type of race every week .

I give this race a 9. Kinda boring, but Biff won and Nascars golden boy Rick Hendrick was denied his 200th victory.

6- Trackpass raceview is a great deal, follow any car, listen to any or all drivers, listen to the race on the radio, see and hear what is happening during commercials. I'v had trackpass since they started it and upgraded every time they made improvements.

I had it for a long time as well. This year though, I dropped down to just the scanner to save a few bucks. I love having that option to listen to the drivers during the race even though the feeds aren't synced up. My DirecTV Fox feed has to be about 10 seconds or so off of the scanner feed. It's also about 10 seconds off of DirecTV's HotPass channels too. Weird.

Jeez, did people watch two completely different races? Seems like it was either boring or exciting, no middle ground.

Traveling last night so I did'nt get to see the race :( From the responses I can't tell if I missed a good one or not? Anyone know when and what channel it will be replayed on?

For Biffle winning, a 10. For the lack of Nascar's fake phantom cautions, a 10. For the car-shyster being denied again, a 10. For Andy being displeased, a 10.

For the actual racing...oh, about a 6.

So ...put a restrictor plate on them...bunch up the field ...throw a few phantom cautions ...and what ?Everybodies happy ? I think not.
