Rate the race Talladega II

race: 8/10
winner: 7/10 not a fan of BK but dam that was clutch....

Actually, I think "Rats" might be a better title. ROTFLMAO

I'll go a 9. One of the better Talladega races in recent times. At least it wasn't
the choo-choo tandem racing, or single-file all the way through the field.

I'm sorry, how do you Ratr a race?

From what I saw, I give it an 8.

zero.

3 big name drivers ran a complete race, the others marked time at the back of the pack most of the race.

Why bother racing hard the late reset caution for Larsons on the grass spin was painfully predictable. Might as well have been a 50 lap race.

Solid 9. I loathe restrictor plate racing, but this race and the Daytona 500 were both really good. I wasn't even paying attention to the Chase stuff and I still really enjoyed it.

I may even have gone 9.5 if those two untimely cautions hadn't come out towards the end.

9. Great race. One of the best I've seen in recent years. Exciting throughout. Very tense.
And now we have 8 guys in contention with 4 races left Really liking the new Chase format.

2/10

A lot of fake manufactured drama and typical restrictor plate "racing"

Race was an 7.5-8. Would've been much better if a quarter of the field wasn't sandbagging for a 25th place survival run. They need to move Dega from being an elimination race in the future. It took away from what was otherwise an outstanding race I thought.

Winner: 10, Sad to see Dale's Chase hopes end but I'm glad Brad K came in clutch and advanced. Made up for last week's meltdown slightly.

5 million. 1/4 Hendrick drivers left. 2/3 JGR. Who would have thunk it? Go Toyota!

1-1/2 is as good as a Dega race gets! Only the HYPE added to this race a bit, so I'll go 1-3/4 out of 10! It would really be a race if they cut it into four 30 lap races. The winner in each gets 1/4 of the purse. Race then go to the pits for 5 minutes for commercials and then restart from the ending positions of the last race. That'll make em race. AND talk about thrilling! That'll get all our juices flowing. Also that would eliminate the pit crews and speeding on pit road and such! Would make it RACING like it should be.

I was going to give it an 8, but when Danica spanked all the boys for a few laps... that was enough of a spark to bump it up to a 9. Dega is still one of my favorite tracks.

For a plate race: 10

For a NASCAR race: 5

I just hate that Kenseth could sit in the back for 150 of 188 laps and finish second. Although, I'm also ecstatic that he was able to advance.

Can't wait for Martinsville!

9.5
best racing on a plate track I've ever seen. Jr, JJ and Kez were going at it right from the start. Larsons tard spin almost ruined the whole thing, but the 31 and 2 racing hard saved the day.

I'm guessing you've never driven on a high banked super speedway. I've driven on Texas Motor Speedway, drove 4 laps in my 93 For Taurus averaged 109mph. I was driving with 5 other guys driving in their Lincoln LSs. I can't imagine driving with 30 cars, 3 wide, at 200mph without crashing. Talladega usually is a crash fest. Watching these professionals drive so close to one and other made this race even more exciting/nerve racking. Only other Talladega race I can think was this exciting was the 96 race that had only 3 cautions, one for rain. You could have watched the NFL ya know.
