Bowyer got off with nothing, essentially. But at least NASCAR took a big swing at this. Obviously not everyone will think it's enough and find a way to further denigrate NASCAR but that will happen no matter what.

I'm just glad they sent a message that sh!t like that won't be tolerated. What happened Saturday is nothing what racing should be or come too.

Nascar got half right, but did wrong in my opinion. Truex officially did nothing wrong. So don't just dock him points to "correct a wrong". If you going to fix the issue, then fix the issue. Put both Newman and Gordon in while taking out both Truex and Logano.

Basically Nascar admits that MWR got Truex in Chase by screwing Gordon, but do nothing to rectify issue with Gordon.

I guess my point is in theory Truex didnt do anything wrong. Even Nascar said the only thing they could prove was Ty Norris telling Vickers to pit. That was it. They couldn't even prove Bowyer's spin was intentional. So if they are going that route then suspend Ty Norris indefinitely and fine the sh#t out of MWR. They are transparent that they wanted Newman in and truex out, but really have no basis to do so. So if you are going to correct the issue then correct the whole issue, just don't half-ass it.

I was rather hoping NASCAR would add Newman and Gordon to the Chase and then dock Bowyer and Truex so many points they had no shot of winning the title. I don't like the fact that Bowyer can still win the title.

Bowyer loses no points in the reset Chase standings. He's sitting at 2000 points going into the Chase.

I just looked at the points and it says Bowyer is 35 points behind the leader.. if true, its not enough but still makes it really diffcult on him

I am wondering now why Mikey himself didn't get banned from entering any NASCAR events?

He orchestrated the whole thing so he should be out indefinitely too.

I hope the sponsors bail on him.

One thing I'm sure of is that the competitors will not forget this so his teams might as well be back markers now because I dont see anyone giving them any sort of breaks.

Wreck them until the money runs dry. That's one surefire way to get this hack out of the sport.
