2014 Chase for the Cup - (Game) - Phoenix - Race 9 of 10

As long as we're floating ideas, I think it would be cool if players of the game were eliminated to match the chase eliminations.

Example: Everyone that plays is in the game until the first elimination, then everyone except the top twelve remain in the game.

Those twelve play until the next elimination round where the bottom four are eliminated and only the top eight will remain in the game...

Game players will continue to be eliminated until only the top four will have a shot at the chase game championship at the final race at Homestead.
The points already take care of the eliminations, don't you think?

I will give it some thought.

Clinch scenarios? Yeah right. That would require additional math. Probably more along the lines of using X and Y variables. Way too much for me to handle in the morning. ;) I have enough problems with cutting and pasting.

Not sure if you hear or read on here but the Chase isn't real popular. I'm just sayin. ;)

With such a narrow pool of drivers to choose from when eliminations begin, it's almost futile to continue playing when you're in the bottom half of the standings and everyone is picking the same few drivers as best and worst.

I know it's your baby and I appreciate you taking the time and effort to run it for us, but it was much more fun when drivers weren't being eliminated.

Best : Harvick
Worst : Gordon

Yeah, it sucks when we suck at making picks but that's all part of it. We're all playing under the same rules here. You and I may not be able to win this over the next two weeks but there's positions to be had.

DPK, if Rockears001 wins this game without winning any one individual week, you are going to have some explaining to do!!!

Not to mention some format tweaks...maybe put more emphasis on winning. lol

J/K

Actually, I think that you do a helluva job with the game. Thanks.

@blanston takes the lead over @Rockears001 & @SlicedBread22 by the slimmest of margins. Just four points separate the top three heading into Homestead. @OzFan & @DanicaFreak pick up this weeks top scores netting 67 points.
