#20-Tony Stewart’s victory in the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway clinched the 2003 Manufacturers’ Championship for Chevrolet in NASCAR’s premier division. With five races left in the season, Chevrolet clinched its 27th Manufacturer’s crown and the 23rd of NASCAR’s modern era, which began in 1972.

damn, I know jr. my fav and he drives a chevy but I'm still a ford man.

Considering NASCAR has in some way or another hindered every other manufacturer along the way, I'm not surprised. Nor am I impressed.

Fair enough statement.23 in the modern era.Lets do the math--that would be 4 in the non-modern era..mmm?Now lets see if I have this right:Chevy in cup racing prior to modern era.Chevy(GM) worlds largets car maker.Chevy gets ass handed to it by Ford and Mopar.Chevy leaves top level NASCAR racing. Nascar loves revenue---Chevy returns.Chevy wins 23 out of 31 years following return to NASCAR...Nah.No story here.Let's congratulate those guys and move along!

Great job Chevrolet!
