Oh well it deserves its own thread.
That happens a lot.

Yeah, it's hard to dislike the guy when he does something incredibly awesome like that, the original test drive video, and the drifting burnout he did when he won at Martinsville last year.OMG I just became a jeff gordon fan after that, holy crap.
The victim was a friend of the director so I'm sure if he knew the victim was more than likely to have a weapon it wouldn't have happened.I conceal carry so if this had happened to me it would have been a big surprise for everyone when Jeff Gordon suddenly had a gun pointed at his head.

If this is real I'd sure like to know how they got the insurance companies to allow a unsuspecting and therefore uninsured passenger to partisipate in a car stunt, I'm almost certain that if something went wrong and said passenger got hurt the insurance companies would freak and probably wouldn't pay out. Sorry don't mean to be a doubtful Dan but in this day and age of law suits for a whole lot less, I just don't see this being real. Sorry.

Explains your concerns. Makes sense.
At least the driving was really all Gordon's this time around.

If Jeff really wanted to teach him a lesson he should have put him in a car with bowyer.
He is a writer for Jalopnik and was supposed to be in Charlotte test driving the new Z06 Corvette. If I were Pepsi here's what I'd do: before he even leaves New York, GM faxes him an insurance form, to be signed under the guise of something happening to him during the Corvette test drive. Badda bing badda boom.I
Still doesn't address the insurance issue, also if you look at 1:17 when the car is pulling out of the driveway and at the end the cab clearly has two antena on the trunk but at 3:24 it does not, two different cabs being used.

dude, really you worry too much. why can't you just laugh like all the rest of us. I thought it was awesome. I have been a fan of the sport for years, not a jeff gordan fan at all. I don't hate him but I am not not a fan. This video made jeff gordon's stock rise in my view in a huge way. its sad that the first thing you think about is insurance and lawsuits.
