Where's the Austin Dillon Announcement?

Maybe they're filling out sponsorship detils or something...they would not have announced Ty to the NNS #3 with Yuengling if they didn't have some sort of plan in place for Austin.

Good point sir good point

If Austin does as well in cup as I believe he will he will be my wife's, and in turn my, driver of choice after our present driver retires or as a secondary driver to our present favorite.

Austin Dillon keeps showing me that he has a good head for racing in the big leagues. Very seldom makes any mistakes and gets all he can out of whatever he is driving. Won't surprise me a bit if he wins a cup race next year, and finishes in the top ten a lot of races in 2014. I hardly ever have been a one horse pony type fan, locking on and focusing on just one driver in any series, but I have been watching Austin come up thru the ranks, and I don't think he will have any problems driving a cup car and competing with the big boys. If he has the car setup right, he won't have any problem rubbing fenders with any of them.

I'm not sure. His grampie gave him top tier equipment in NW and Trucks. His cup equipment is good not great.

Some of you are bitching about Austin Dillon shouldn't win the NNS championship without a win. Here are a couple of facts, Sam Hornish only won one race and it was at Las Vegas.

In 3 races Austin Dillon came in behind cup drivers and no NNS drivers. He should or could have won the races if there were NNS drivers only in the races.
Texas, 1st- Kybu, 2nd- Brad K, 3rd- Austin Dillon.
Bristol, 1st- Kybu, 2nd- Brad K, 3rd- Austin Dillon
Charlotte, 1st- Kybu, 2nd- Austin Dillon.

Who knows what would have happened without the cup drivers being in the Nationwide races but it would have been fun to find out.

I love that he might win it with no wins. Thats quite an accomplishment imo.

I want to see Dillon win the title with no victories so NASCAR can finally get the message about Cup drivers dominating the NNS. 24 of 32 races won by two cars...that's ridiculous for this era.
Yep, that's why I looked it up.

Cowhat got beat by the best, he will continue to get beat by the best. He may sink or he might swim, Just depends on how much money pop-pop spends on his team. Another year in Nationwide is needed here IMO. Everybody is in a big rush to stifle these kids careers by throwing them in cup cars before they are ready.

You are right about one thing, kybu is the best right now racing in the minor leagues driving a major league backed car with a major league team and a major league pit crew. Damn what an accomplishment. :sarcasm:

Damn Johali I didnt even mention Kyle Busch. All I did was mention the "best" and look who came to mind.

Good for you :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Austin, four full years in the lower tier series with one, posibly two series championships before heading to the big show full time. What is the prerequisite that is required? I guess I'm cunfused here.

I guess this time next year we will know if it was too soon or not ........................ or maybe its the equipment if he doesnt do well

Me also.

Makes sense I guess. I've read that it's only because he's driving the best equipment now that he does good anyhow.

Thats what they say but it looks like JGR and Penske have the series pretty well covered too me. Opinions may vary :)

As if Kyle is only racing against "minor league" teams when he runs a NW race.

Just about every time Kyle runs a NW race there are other Cup drivers with everything Kyle has competing too.

Just recently there were 12 Cup drivers competing in a NW race.

We have argued about that on this forum ad-nauseam and no one will change their mind about what they believe so this is my one post about it but for all practical purposes his car is the only one with full backing, full teams, pit crews and resources from the cup side. That's why he couldn't win in his own NNS car.

I keep saying this but nobody listens :(

I wouldn't bet on him winning any cup races next year, might keep grand paw busy puttin knots on competitors heads though. Don't mess with grand baby.
