Rate The Race: Atlanta

Solid 5.5, even though I'm a big Brad fan. Really this had 2016 Charlotte 1 written all over it and not even stage racing could redeem it. I guess NASCAR learned that the only surefireway to ensure a decent finish is to penalize the leader late. Oh well, I sure hope this aero package is more competitive the rest of this season because this race sure wasn't.

1--this **** sucks. There HAS to be a way to make the cars all run in a tight pack...like on the plate tracks...OH WAIT!

At least the only girl finished on the lead lap.:partytime

EDIT: Apparently Fox screwed-the-pooch...she was 1 lap down according to scoring.

I just woke up after stage 2. The stage segments are absurd. Congrats to Kez for his win. I'll give a 10 for the drivers and give a 0 for NASCAR.

4th place plus 5th place equals 9 so 9

8. I was entertained, esp. by the pit strategies in the first stage. I suspect the crew chiefs learned a lot about how to manage that in the future.

7. Harvick screwed the pooch and so did Larson. Good for Brad. Mostly clean racing...not that wreck fest at Daytona.

3 - I don't know what others were watching, but you have to go back to either last years fall talladega or brickyard, to find a race worse than this one. If next week is more of the same driving around like theyre on the interstate during a Sunday afternoon, segment racing is a bust and didn't fix anything. It also appears junior is 100% done with racing and is just fulfilling the last year of his contract at this point. Today was just a really sad day.

3. Slipping and sliding is fun to watch but when they're all strung out it doesn't do much for me. I'm not a fan of complete and utter domination by one car 90% of the day.

3/10 Really boring race and the aero/engine package sucks. The cars were coasting into the corners and barely using any brakes. Way too easy to drive. Need more horsepower.
