Aric Almirola

As I had mentioned in one of my post from today. But people seem more upset Bubba didn't get picked. When he couldn't have for this race.

People will just have to be patient, if he keeps his current performance up and destroys Reed, people will pay attention.

He will be in Cup one day, just a matter of who and when.

Eligible does not equal obliged.

Do we know if RPM approached anyone other than Edwards and Smith?
Oh, agreed. I earlier wondered why any of the best choices would waste their time on a 50-lap gimmick in a car with a limited chance to win and no chance to win the fan vote.

Man here is a rumor now from reddit haha

Almirola to the 10...with Smithfield would make sense

He has his priorities straight. He wants to play baseball with his son and dance at his daughter's wedding. Nothing is going to stand in the way of that.

Endless speculation in this thread as to Almirola's replacement but does anyone know if RPM has decided who's driving the 43 car in the 600 ?

At this point I'm just assuming Smith is.

I'm eager to see who will drive the 43 this weekend at Dover... Regan Smith again or someone else. It seems relevant that both times Smith was announced, it was for just one race. That makes me wonder if Ford (or someone) is wanting to put someone else in the seat... maybe a young gun? Maybe we'll hear today.

Texas next week. Not sure if Ricky Benton's 92 team is going there or not, they said at the beginning of the year they were only running 12 races.

Damn, that reminds me when Klingerman was there and they had to stop operations because of wrecking two weeks in a row.

@LewTheShoe I'm waiting to see Lilly Diabetes smothered on the 43.lol

Good news for Aric from his doctors...

Almirola could return sooner than initially expected
Initially, Almirola was told his recovery time would be eight to 12-weeks. Now, he’s potentially looking at a July 14 return at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. (Motorsport.com)

Good for Aric, sucks for Bubba

Bubba did very well, especially last week at Kentucky.

He looked comfortable, I'm certain someone will look at him for next season. I think he's better off shooting for a Cup seat with more horsepower and less downforce, Bubba looks better and it suits his driving style more, it seems.

Happy Aric is healed, but Bubba got a raw end of the stick. I hope he gets a quality ride soon.
