Gonna miss seeing these guys at St. Pete every year. Cadillac were great for PWC. With the potential loss of the RealTime Acuras as well, could be even more of a transition for PWC under SRO leadership.

Wonder if GM will move those resources to the Dpi program?
Yeah, I think that is the most likely outcome. Hopefully they can move Michael Cooper to WTR if Ricky leaves for Penske. And Action Express already signed Felipe Nasr and Felipe Albuquerque for next year, so they might just be ramping up their investment there.

I don't know that PWC's reluctance over factory teams competing is going to help them in the long run. The other bright side, though, is that GM now says that Callaway Competition can sell the Corvette C7 GT3-R to customers who want to race in PWC or IMSA GTD.

In 2018, we will take a pause in Pirelli World Challenge as we focus completely on our effort in prototype sports car racing. However, we maintain a regular and open communication with Greg Gill, the World Challenge CEO, and hope to one day return to the Series in some form.”

I should've just read the whole release. D'oh.
