The one thing that unites Democrats and Republicans, Kyle Busch fans and Kevin Harvick fans, Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin fans... the annual CMA Awards show that displays the continued decline of country music.

ABC now.

Continued decline? Chris Stapleton just won the third straight male vocalist. Stapleton had a great performance. He or Garth will win entertainer of the Year. Eddie Montgomery, Dierks Bentley, and Rascal Flatts had a great tribute to Troy Gentry. Faith and Tim still got it. What fantasy world do you live in?

Also Reba had a solid performance. Alan Jackson rocked it. Garth rocked it. Brothers Osborne rocked it...continued decline??

Continued decline?
Not a big deal. He's in a constant state of denial. Like every other genre of music, it evolves.

I'm a huge fan of music in general. I listen to just about everything. My Pandora channels span a wide variety of genre's. There's room for everything and anyone.

No doubt, the CMA's will rule the night as they always do. The interest is still there after all these years and will continue to be because country music is something that resonates with many.

I removed the local country stations from the presets on my car. First time since i'v had my license that I don't have a country station on them.

Modern Country music is horrible.

After watching last night, looks like the "Bro Country" fad is starting to die off ... finally. Didn't hear three hours of songs about drinking and mudding. About time. Someone needs to tell the radio station operators though.

Glad Garth and Stapleton won awards. Disappointed that Miranda Lambert won female vocalist again, she is criminally overrated. And Little Big Town ... they had one good song, 12 years ago.

I'm still gonna **** on this genre until the radio stations and awards shows purge Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town and Florida-Georgia Line.

Our only Country music station that is still an independent with local DJ's ( they still play that country rap crap though) instead of a conglomerate with clones won "Country Music Small Market Station Of The Year". I only listen to Willies Roadhouse on Sirius XM though.

The Bro County station here in Raleigh won large market station of the year.

See Miranda to me represents older school country. She's kind of rolls into that anti bro country crowd.

Most new country music is garbage, but I do like Chris Stapleton. He's a nice throwback to the pre Bro-Country days.

The Americana Music Awards, which honor music that is much closer to actual country music than anything that currently is sold under that banner, occurred last night. My favorite musician, Jason Isbell, cleaned up and took home album of the year for The Nashville Sound and song of the year for the incredible "If We Were Vampires". Check it out if you haven't.
