This is my new home track and while it's not Bowman Gray the track surface has a LOT of character. The next 2 weekends are a must watch for short track fans around the country. Mav TV hosts both weekends. The SELLM (Southeast limited latemodels) always puts on one hell of a show.

Nov 18th features Nascar All American finalists from around the country plus Whelen modified tour action.

This is where drivers settle their differences for the rest of the year. Anyone whose going give me a shout! Would love to tailgate with you.

No Whelen Modified Tour there in November, The Whelen Modified Tour finished up last month in Connecticut.
They did race at Myrtle Beach back in March!
May they are running the same cars as the Whelen Modified Tour, often unsanctioned races with those cars are called "Tour Type Modified" races. But its definitely not a Whelen Modified Tour sanctioned event.
I'm surprised PASS has their big 300 lap Super Late Model race at Hickory, NC the same weekend as this.

Yeah my bad tour type modifieds there but it's not the NASCAR Whelen tour. Still plenty of guys from up North and a few down south making the trip

Actually, the Late Models have one race after at Southern National on Thanksgiving Weekend.

I'm planning to be there both weekends.

It was a tough day at the track today 3 laps in to the Challenger race Travis Powell and Jackie Poole* got into an accident in turn 1 Jackie was transported to a local hospital no official word has been given on his condition. The race was called after only three laps. We're all hoping he's okay but it did not look good. Please anyone that races make sure your roll bars and your seats and head/neck devices are working as well as they can. The more information I get the more I can share.

Sorry Jackie Ward not Jackie poole. Keep him in your thoughts tonight

It's with a heavy heart that I say this but 55 year old Jackie Ward has passed away. He died on impact in turn one at Myrtle Beach Speedway. My heart goes out to his family and friends and all of the folks along the way. In my 18 plus years of attending auto racing events I've never witnessed anything like this. Dangers are always there in racing but no one could have expected. Godspeed Jackie

Went there for the race yesterday ... all in all, a good race. Normally, the SELLM race is a cluster****, but last night was a much cleaner affair and the best drivers ended up dueling for the win.

So sad what happened to Jackie Ward. And for that to come a couple months after Terry Evans passed away after getting hit by a drunk driver when leaving the track... just sad.

My recaps from the SELLM race are up on Race22. Planning on going back down this weekend for Race22 and MAVTV.

It was getting clustery towards the end but a good race all around. Hope you enjoyed it. It was Coooold tho

Just to clairify, Jackie Ward died from a massive heart attack during the race.

Got to spot for this guy at the 400. We started 20th and got to the top 10 but just had the car too loose and burnt the right rear off. This guy can still wheel it. CharlesPowell III
