Seems things were pushed back because there is or was some indecision about which model to run and RCR asked them to slow things down because they were not confident they could meet the 2019 deadlines and be competitive. 95% confident we will see them in 2020.
 
I can't. I don't want to blatantly lie. Because the timeline is up in the air on this as to when. The last piece of info I got seems to indicate that NASCAR expects five OEMs by 2021

Was that the poster who was so sure we would get an announcement during speedweeks from Dodge? Lol maybe he meant 2019 Speedweeks.

I detest when someone has inside information and tries to keep people informed and then gets bashed if he isn't 100% correct. Does he have control over things being discussed or planned???? NO so why call him out for it.
All your accomplishing is cutting the board off from anyone posting.

I'd stop calling him out on this particular piece of information if it anyone else was substantiating it, even off the record. We're hearing this from one source, and the only detail we have (the date) has changed again. We're hearing this from a single source only; I find it hard to believe it's being kept so securely under wraps that nobody else has a leak.

I don't feel its fair to jump on Charlie for his comments, he has every right to not believe the rumors, and that old saying " Believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear", is something I myself live by, even I am not sure I believe Dodge is coming back and I too have a "source" and have read articles indicating Dodge's return.

Long reply short, dont be too hard on people that dont chose to believe in what seems like baseless rumors to them, its not very nice.

I don't think Robert jumped me. Given my post, I think his reply was probably nicer than I warranted.

But you can find a web site to support and oppose almost any position. For all we know, the Russians are pushing this story to generate confusion and disagreement among race fans. ;)
 
It goes to credibility for me. Same poster has made many claims, but nothing but nope from the powers that be. Of course Brian will beat around the bush and turn it into a kum by ya, we would love ANY manufacturer to come on borard..we're working on it from his end. In other words, crying wolf wolf wolf without any proof is Fake News IMO. It is in he same vein as being reminded Nascar is dying every day and we are stupid for being fans. Not near as irritating though.

Maybe jump was a too strong of a word, Its possible that I took his reply in a different context than he meant.

I hear lots of things from different people but just because something doesn't pan out the way it was presented, I don't call them on it. I am only saying that if we keep attacking people on the forum, the forum will disappear like many others have.

That is another thing about this place, what you say is locked (unless it gets deleted) so none of gets to ride the high horse much.:p And then there is TRL calling us down like errant school kids. :D:D

I wonder if the U.S. government could do even more to destroy the automobile.The want you either a foot, on a bicycle or driving an electric car in California a friend of mine said.

Your friend forgot public transportation.

I don't have a problem with those. Indeed, one of my criteria for a retirement location is a strong public transportation system and support for bicycle paths. I'll want those when I hopefully get too old to drive safely. Just because the internal combustion engine came along first doesn't mean it's the best option.
