NASCAR CEO BRIAN FRANCE BUSTED FOR DUI & OXYCODONE

Stunning the tolerance for this kind of sh!t, but when a clean driver says or does something controversial, this board calls for his head. The dude should not have been behind the wheel. Could have killed somebody's brother, sister, mom, dad, kid, etc. No tolerance. His ass is out. His license should be gone forever--yeah, and that goes for anybody who does this. IF he has a problem---Why is it when these assholes get caught, they always have a problem?---he can get help if he wants to--that's not my business.
look out! Revman is on the chip!

Funny all these people thinking something would change if he was outed.

I will enjoy seeing his personal loss. It is a pleasureable satisfying thought.

I hope most of all that he is permanently disqualified from ever getting the otherwise gifted Hall of Fame entry. His position required an accomplished idiot to screw that up and he did.

This crap needs to be put in the Podium.

Let's keep on topic, please. And leave politics in The Podium.

If you feel constrained by this being open forum, create thread in The Podium where
you can post as you wish.

I can't really explain how mad this whole situation makes me. I'm beyond angry with BZF -- he's
disgraced his name and dragged it through the mud.

yeah I have noticed Steve Phelps being interviewed lately. I like his attitude. Last week the press were trying to squeeze something out of him about the inspection failures. He was like F'em the majority made it thru without any problems.

Phelps has always struck me as quite sharp and competent. O'Donnell on the other hand...

This is incredibly sad. I think it's been clear for a long time that he's had some substance abuse issues. Opiates abuse is such a plague on our society and hopefully this compels him to get the help he needs.

As a fellow human, I want the man to get the help he needs. Substance abuse is no joke.

As a NASCAR fan, I want this clown outta here. He’s a galactic embarrassment to the sport.
very well said. As a NASCAR fan I hope he's gone, he's ruined enough of this sport. New blood indeed.

yeah when he is sweating buckets and nobody else is, that is a pretty good sign unless he just got thru running a marathon. I noticed that at least 4 years ago. Probably why he blew off Truex's handshake at the banquet last year, had to get backstage and get him a bump.

Yeah, but I think they are blocking callers. That's bull****.

Give it some time. Other information will come out. NASCAR will have to address it, provide a response, and a road map of what actions they will take. It will be the main story in the sport by late this week. A corporation can't leave the ship rudderless longer than that.

No, the head of the company was arrested. He's a major figure in the sports world and head of a multi-billion dollar company. He is the story.
No, he isnt. If I ran a restaurant and the health department took my A rating to a B I'm not calling the papers and reporting it. I'd take care of the problem. Its being reported eveywhere, no need to dwell.

Ok, you must work for the NASCAR or be a member of the NASCAR (cough, cough) press. He is the head of a multi-billion dollar sports entertainment business. Like it or not he is a national figure. He isn't your local baker. He is the story.
