It is funny that you made this thread as I just commented about real race fans on another.

IMO the real race fan card is used by one group of people to marginalize or degrade another group. Another way of putting it is “because you don’t think the way I do means you’re not a real fan.”

IDK why a real race fan would take issue with Kyle Busch and not Kevin Harvick or be mad at Joe Gibbs but not Gene Haas. One of them there mysteries of life spose

That photo must have been taken when the Monster girls were going by in the back of a truck bed.:)

Being fans of a driver doesn't automatically make them fans of NASCAR in general. We've all seen fans of a driver pack up and leave when that driver is gone. Maybe these folks are, maybe not.

Photos of NASCAR fans? Who has pics of people sitting through rain delays? How about of those folks in the grandstands 5 minutes after the gates open, with green flag four or five hours away?

I think this guy would qualify Charlie. Poor guy couldn't afford clothes after he paid for his ticket, and a crewman felt sorry for him and gave him a tire to cover up with

Well, my wife tells me that NASCAR fans are my people. I am in no way a stereotypical race fan, but we cannot deny that there is a type......they pretty much all exist at Bowman Gray. You know the guy with the loud NASCAR shirt, an old Dale Jarrett Interstate Batteries hat, summer teeth, pushing the used tire off of Hut Strickland's car to the parking lot?

That's a real fan
