This is the greatest thing I've seen NASCAR do in years

The greatest thing in Nascar that ever happened to me was:

The day I went to my First Live Nascar Race, The Pepsi 400 in Daytona and walked up to the start finish line in the access way and all those cars came by at over 200MPH 20 feet from me, I was hooked from then on.
:punkrocke :headbang: :partytime :pbjtime: :salute:
Video evidence

My preference would be one weekend on the tri-oval and one on a "roval," which would work great at that track.
Or if they must run two races on the same weekend, run one on each configuration. Bring two cars, one with gas on the left and one on the right. Have to go to a backup? Sucks to be you, don't it?

As far as the field inversion, it should be quite interesting to see how the teams that normally run several seconds slower get out of the way. Maybe a couple drivers who already have a win prior to Pocono or those who badly need a win, will develop a bad vibration at the start of Saturday's race...hmmm
To sandbag or not to sandbag. The teams will be kicking that idea around. (The article didn't mention how the points work).

A 5 race weekend with some inverting going on, sounds good to me. :booya:

Now this wins the "Best Post" award so far. Can't complain about travelling all day to get there and get that much racing with top teams.

Could they do the change over that fast for what needs to be done to have it ready to do that? I'm not sure what the time is it takes to get stuff ready for the Roangle?? Tricourse? Uhhh...whatever they wanna call it lol.

Racing itself is all gimmicks. When they made a track, it was a gimmick. When they built walls and guardrails to bounce the competitor into oncoming cars, it was a gimmick. When they made rules to make it “fair”, it was a gimmick. When the cars were built in shops as opposed to factory, it was a gimmick. The fact you sit in a seat and watch a closed course is an entire gimmick.

Greatest post I've seen. Has me like...
