I sort of have 2 boneheads for this week. Well, one might apply to last week.

The first is Bubba Wallace for being dumb enough to admit to spinning on purpose last week at Texas, then challenging NASCAR to offer some sort of punishment, which they did. This is a carry over from last week.

For this week alone, my other one is for Matt Weaver, writer for Auto Week. Matt is a great writer and does a great job covering the sport of racing. But he made a big assumption and got called out for it, saying Blaney purposely skipped the post-race interviews when Blaney had to make a "pit stop."

The NASCAR media is the absolute worst. Bunch of harpies with agendas. No wonder guys like Smoke and the Busch brothers don’t like them.

Weaver generally does a good job at least with the short track stuff and lower series IMO, but who knows on this one.

The results show that the #22 team pulled a huge boner and took Joey's car out of contention with an adjustment. This has been a problem with all 3 Team Penske's cars during the season, however yesterday it had a huge price tag.

The media tries to be the story instead write about the story. Need to start yanking credentials

Boneheads for me is Goodyear Tire and concrete for bringing yet another set of rocks to the race. Tires are supposed to last a fuel run, not half of the race. I'm not buying this high corner loads B.S.

bonehead #2
Matt Weaver doesn't have any credentials to yank as far as I am concerned. Needs to have more experience, it seems some of the press these days do very little research

Yeah I dont know whats going on behind the tire thought process. Its the easiest change to make to the car and requires no new parts or pieces for teams to buy.

Not me, I didn't purchase tickets to the ****t show, I have been to the November race before, I learned my lesson

Bubba is not the sharpest knife in the drawer

They have screwed up the whole place in my opinion

Yeah I went in 2016 and loved the old track. It just doesn't feel right anymore. They could have right sized & upgraded what they had and put in the new garages where it was.

Place used to feel like home to me, not any more though, we probably won't ever go back

If I remember correctly, wasn't the change to put the main grand stands in the shade of the sun?

I have never been to this race, what was the major negative effect of the move, your thoughts.:)

The complete change of everything at the track, 80 degree days in the sun are not an issue in Arizona. The new stands make us feel completely disconnected from the cars, the days of getting hit with small pieces of aggregate and hot rubber were much better. The old setup was perfect

I you ever get a chance to go to the Atlanta track, sit in the grand stands on the bottom row 1/2 way between coming off turn 4 and pit entrance, I damn sure guarantee you will get what you are missing at Phoenix! :booya: :punkrocke. I have been to a lot of tracks, but for speed and being close to the action, nothing I have been to, tops Atlanta. Hell, I get excited just writing about it.:D First time I took my wife to the Atlanta race in these seats, she asked me after the race, on the way back to the truck, if we could get the same seats next time.

My wife won't go back to Phoenix, neither will the rest of my family, if I go, I go by myself

I would like to go back but I am not used to change real well. Personally it seems like they want the place to be like Nazareth and I just don't care for it because the other S/F line seemed to have better races but that's just me.

I haven't noticed what their INfield looks like, that very well could be a sweet amenity.

Change is not always good, we had driver access figured out at the old track
