Thoughts on Kraus? NASCAR K&N West champion? He's what, 16? 17? It's too early to predict anything, but the last year I've felt that it feels almost right for him to inevitably end up in the 18 when Kyle hangs it up.... Or starts a cup team ;)

It's safe to say not knowing anything about the kid that he will get monkey stomped in the trucks. Nothing personal or snarky, just what happens most of the time to the average driver moving up from those lower series. He has to win the dog fight and he is still on the porch.

I think he will struggle in the trucks as well.

Kyle is only, what, 34, 35? If he doesn't race for at least a decade more I'd be shocked.
I still think Kyle will get burnt out, I see him racing until he's like 42 or so. I also thought Kraus was younger than he is.

No way. Honestly the dude strikes me as a competitive sociopath, much like Michael Jordan was. Undeniably great, but simply couldn't handle losing and played until 40, ancient in basketball.

He certainly doesn't have that advantage granting psychological competitive edge over his competitors like MJ and Brady did. Kyle doesn't strike me as a competitive sociopath. Like, at all. He's too moody. He just can't cope with failing to meet his high expectations. That's more on mood.

"I want to win so bad, that when I fail to do so, I'm going to lose my **** and get pissed. I want to win. All I want to do is win win win."

"I want to win so bad that when I fail to do so, I'm going destroy you, beat you and dominate you so badly that you remember I WILL beat you next time and I WILL win."

In no way shape or form is Kyle's competitive nature similar to MJ's.

The early retirement comment is more so just in response to Kyle's attitude towards the sanctioning body. He doesn't have a love and appreciation for NASCAR, imo I don't think he will miss being a cup driver when he retires. I've long felt that he will start a cup team, and then retire as a driver by 42.

Hard to base anything off the K&N series. That series has been dead for a couple years. Gilliland looked incredible in K&N and was pretty underwhelming in trucks (compared to K&N, wasn’t too bad overall)

I really hope Kyle retires to play minor league baseball

Kyle Busch is a sociopath?

Why was I not informed?

Kraus does seem like a good prospect but as stated too early to predict anything from K&N.

Kraus has the potential to be the next Kensethif he lands a good ride. Similar driving styles, is only aggressive when necessary, and takes care of equipment.
