Hailie Deegan Ready For The Next Chapter In Her NASCAR Journey
“I feel like people are getting a little ahead of themselves in a sense, where they expect more out of me than what I’ve learned,” she said. “I’m racing ARCA. I’m not racing Cup—I don’t know all these things that these amazing drivers at these high levels know. I’m still learning, I’m still at the kind of bottom of the food chain when it comes to that.”
She’s previously outlined her “dream” scenario of moving up the ladder, which she said her and her father talk about regularly:

The only real mistakes she made was when she wrecked Heirs, which I'd say is just a rookie with no drafting experience, which also plays into the 2nd not being able to get a run on Self.

I didn't see anybody getting a run of Self. He started from the pole and completely dominated the race

She also showed great patience at Daytona. Lot of rookies would have tried
a pass on the outside the last lap and give up a couple spots. Good postrace interview
for her too. I would say a little bit better than her parents interview.

Yes, I'm picking up what you're laying down.

ARCA, Whelen, Pinty's, Peak, etc -- And they have different Forums for those other Series both in here and on the NASCAR dot com site.

A bunch of old dudes group-leering at young Hallie thru this internet thread is just so untoward... :D

Take it to the ARCA Forum....

Shouldn't this thread be in the ARCA section?

You guys are racing back and forth to put down your thoughts -- just put this in the ARCA Forum.

Deegan is an ARCA driver -- there is an ARCA Forum. Pretty simple.

Move this one and you have a proper solution.

Knock yourself out, post away, go for it, freak freely

For a guy that's been here only a year longer than this thread, he certainly is passionate. Plus, he's the only one with a hardon for the Deegan thread. Move along and accept it Sport, it's here to stay.

Deegans next outing at Phoenix should be good, as a second place finish @Daytona is a great boost of confidence for any racer in any series.

He’s just upset that Roger Penske is a miserable failure as a race team owner and as a human being.

Solid run today. Watched her experimenting with alot of moves. Been doing her homework for sure.

I like that she didn't hug the yellow line the whole race, she mixed it up good side drafting from the outside lane. Valuable experience.

Cool deal for her locking up a 2nd place in her first time at Daytona

Welcome to my thread.

So nice of you to put it here in the NASCAR section of your forum.

I saw her laying on the side of the inside car for lap after lap when she was in the top groove. Really good car control to be able to do that. I think the Ford people will be making sure she has a fast horse for Phoenix.

Phoenix, although entirely a different animal, is just as tough as Daytona. She seems to be up for challenges, and she's in for one there.

She ran there last year and finished 4th. I don't know if it was her or the hauler driver for McAnally that was driving.

Heading back to Bristol for the Night races in September, and looking forward to seeing her take on the high banks of Bristol..Should be some exciting racing...

This **** got almost as weird as the barstool sports tweet responses regarding the homegirl.

I haven't read this whole thread but I didn't get creeper vibes until Venti entered the chat.

As an older brother to two girls right at her age and a little younger.. the creepers are, well, creepy.

She was getting screwed on the restart lineups til late. She showed alot of patience on the high side for sure

They’re getting a little beyond creepy. It will get worse from here ...

Don’t know if they showed it on TV but she had a really good save when she got out of shape when 2x2 at one point in Turn 1. Pushing through the turns was a learning experience and I doubt she’ll make that mistake again. Otherwise she looked pretty comfortable and collected out there.
