Talladega I Bonehead

Guess any loop on a rope is now a noose.

I had sympathy for Bubba in this till he went on the Don Lemon show and kept going with the noose narrative. Guess he's hoping for a deal from Nike like Kapernick got. Sucks that now 80% of NASCAR coverage is going to be race / politics related.

Welcome to the age of social media. Hopefully our descendants look back at the same way we look a powdered wigs.
But but some people would like to still see the wigs in use.
Now we just use scarves.

Yeah, I gotta admit, that looks like something Clint Eastwood would have shot through to free Eli Wallach. It's certainly better done that what I've seen on roll-up doors at self-storage sites.
I believe the R-F knot experts were dispersed, specifically fisherman knot examiners and they have the situation in hand

I almost just won the bonehead of the year award...I forgot that Talladega ran Mon instead of Sun so I thought today was Tuesday and if someone hadn't called me a few minutes ago to see what time I was going to the slot car track today I would have missed the race tonight and showed up a day late ready to race. Here's my sign. :owquitit::owquitit: :dunce::dunce:

First, my apologies for not getting back to you quicker. I forgot who I responded to and had already replied to someone else.

And yes, I apologize.

This is a message board first, hats off. Beer is on me if you're at Bristol next time fan are allowed back.

Nah, others have done it. I bought into what the media had been sold, and my research for support turned up reliable sources.

I don't have any problem saying I'm wrong, it's easier than trying to defend a mistake.

Why Bubba? He never saw the 'noose'. One of his crew reported it.

I'm as guilty of jumping to conclusions as anyone here. I'll take the Bonehead, and be grateful there really wasn't anything to this.
Exactly. Bubba never saw it, only went by what he was told.

The Bonehead should be the crew, NASCAR, the media, and anyone else who bought this thing hook, line, and sinker. I never saw a picture of the rope until the FBI came out with their findings. Everyone made it to sound like it was somewhere in the stall, like where the car would be or somewhere like that. Anybody with any sense could see what it was. They've ratcheted up this racial tensions to where everybody thinks everything is now a racist symbol.

And an extra special bonehead to the ESPN people and other talking heads that continue to portray NASCAR fans, in general, as a bunch of backwoods, racists.
