Did I miss something with a tire strategy? He did start further back than where he was at the end of the previous run.

The 18 is better than the 9 this run. That's why. Id love to see Kyle winless. But if a car that restarted 25th made up 8 seconds on the leader in like 25 laps, I don't think it's that outrageous to focus on him when Chase was still 0.6 behind.
