"Phoenix Raceway is a 1-mile, low-banked tri-oval race track located in Avondale, Arizona, near Phoenix. The motorsport track opened in 1964 and currently hosts two NASCAR race weekends annually. Phoenix Raceway has also hosted the CART, IndyCar Series, USAC and the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The raceway is currently owned and operated by NASCAR.

Phoenix Raceway is home to two annual NASCAR race weekends, one of 13 facilities on the NASCAR schedule to host more than one race weekend a year. It first joined the NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 1988 as a late season event, and in 2005 the track was given a spring date. The now-Gander Outdoors Truck Series was added in 1995 and the now-Xfinity Series began running there in 1999.[3]

NASCAR announced that its championship weekend events would be run at Phoenix for 2020, marking the first time since NASCAR inaugurated the weekend that Homestead-Miami Speedway would not be the host track. The track will also hold the championship for the 2021 NASCAR Cup season." -wikipedia

Let's go Enfinger, Allgair/Haley, and Chase!

The euphoria has worn off and now the "oh crap" hand wringing has begun for me. Off to listen to Door Bumper Clear to raise my blood pressure listening to them b!tch about Alan's radio tirade and the non-penalty on Chase's jackman.

I bet when the NASCAR brass saw the 9 jack man jump off that wall they about had a panic attack. :)

To be fair to the DBC crew, they admitted that the penalty rescinding was correct and gave Semke props for knowing the rules and nailing it.

So psyched for this weekend! Phoenix is a hell of a spot for a title race
Agreed, I just wish it was a 400-miler. 312 doesn't seem long enough for a) a title race or b) the last race of the season regardless of the points system. At least let me get a good high before you take my drug away for three months.

No testing. No qualifying.

The #11 team will bring a brand new car to Phoenix.

I feel the same way. The most important and the last race of the season and it is one of the shortest. I don't understand that. I would have loved for it to be 700 miler. :)

they got that part right..but the rest of it they became deaf and blind

Clint’s spotter is a bit much lol

he’d block me for saying that. “He gone...”

what a way to be I guess. I still enjoy most of their shows. Freddie and TJ are pretty cool

"Holla. Let's go get smashed at Big Al's." If you've never been to Mooresville, I find the Big Al's references hilarious. It's a strip mall sports/dive bar beside a Food Lion. Way to be a baller!

Their main schtick now is making fun of Elliott fans. Yet I continue to listen... Even in this episode, TJ brought up Chase taking Joey out at Bristol at least 5 times to justify Joey's antics over the last 5 years.

Haha. You got it right!

He probably is a fun dude when folks get to know him. Just get the impression he takes some peoples jokes or wise cracks too seriously, which makes more fans want push his buttons haha

Most times its a fun show honestly though

Man the blake shelton show was really fun. Would be cool if he called in again. But with his favorite driver Clint retiring, I don’t know if he will lol

Chase is on the pole. :punkrocke

All week, I keep thinking they're going to Homestead. Going to take a few years to get used to this (before they change it again).

The championship 4 starting 1-4 lol. They arent even being subtle anymore.

yea this whole ‘no practice/qualifying for safety’ is starting to fall right into NASCAR’s lap...

gotta stay safe

Really looking forward to this. Usually, I am so twisted up for this that it is hard to enjoy until the outcome. This year, with only Denny to pull for, I am more chill, just waiting to see if he can do it. I think he will, and I think Gabehart will have a big day and be the reason for it.

I'm glad we aren't at homestead this weekend. It's going to start raining there tonight and won't be stopping until Monday night from Eta!

Yesterday, 1,108 US citizens died as a result of Covid-19 infection.

I wonder if any of them were race fans?

Well, if you don't test, you don't know, and if they are dead, you can't ask. So, the answer is "No," until January 20.

no way to know, guess they could have been. Could have been fans of anything I suppose...
