Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

Don't know if everyone else got to see this, but I didn't. We had two infomercials on instead. :{
Strange. We had it on right after the NBC 24 Hour broadcast.

Sadly, there was too much Rutledge Wood for my taste. any rutledge wood is too much for me ...

My satellite never carried 1 min or a commercial from this race. Maybe they will show it next week. Nice to see JJ get a second place finish.

It's shown for rebroadcast on NBCSN Thursday morning at 1:30 am and Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm also on NBCSN. My local NBC station didn't bother to carry it today either, the jack-asses.

This has been my favorite so far, so much history in that museum. I have to visit the RCR shop if I ever go to Charlotte for a race. It’s incredible to me the original shop is just frozen in time in 01 after Dale passed, I find that really neat yet heartbreaking

I was there in 2004.

If Johnson hadn't had that horrible crash at Pocono in 2017, do y'all think he would have won an 8th Championship?

New Season's Resolution.

In 2021, I will try not to respond to these types of posts:
  • Complaints about race date or start time scheduling that theorize weather issues can be avoided.
  • Complaints about scheduling on the theory TV ratings would be improved.
  • Complaints about use and timing of red flags or checkered flags due to weather.
  • Complaints about number and scheduling of commercials.
  • Complaints that conclude that because TV didn't show the debris, there wasn't any.
There will probably be more, but these should reduce the number of times I foolishly try to fix stupid this year.

You don't approve?

My Ford sales guy says Electric F150 pickup in 2025.

Interesting survey. I have always wondered if it was just me or that the majority of racing fans didn't want to see the sport stick and balled up.

I've long held the only 'stick and ball' sport vaguely comparable to auto racing is golf. Independent contractors competing against a field, weekly, at a series of non-standardized venues. Maybe tennis to a lesser extent - their court surfaces change but the dimensions are the same every week, and they only play one-on-one.

I thought this was pretty interesting to see what this survey group voted for. Dirt and a new road course. The road course vote could be celebrating Nascar isn't racing at Texas Motor Speedway
