2020 Fall/Winter Thread

NASCAR and many race fans throughout the country are paying close attention to the weather conditions in my city right now.

Not much but the wind is blowing the falling snow around. Just enough snow to barely cover the grass where I am. btw, IMO that's too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhat white Christmas

@Nitro Dude
Get ready...
Yesterday my buddy that took over my job when I retired from racing text me and said that it was snowing at the race shop in Ontario. The wrap company was there peeling the wrap of off the hauler and that is a pretty tough job when the glue is cold. We usually park the trailer so that the sun will shine on it and then after one side is peeled we turn it around and let the sun shine on the other side for a couple of hours before peeling it. I'm glad I wasn't involved in that task.:)

Snowing and cold. Figure a way to stay warm. Need I say more?

I can’t even imagine that level of cold. It got like 15 here a few years ago and I don’t know how I survived.
It's quite the opposite for me, when we visited Key West in 2017 it was around 100 degrees, we were there for less than an hour but the humidity was terrible. Five more minutes and I would probably have passed out.

I think I'm gonna outside and walk around a little to enjoy the cold. If only I had cross-country skis...

You probably wouldn’t like it much here then. Almost perfect conditions earlier this afternoon; temperature in the mid 70s, humidity in the 80s. Down to 66 degrees now, probably about to put my jacket on.

First cold shot this year. They say below freezing for a week. I got to try out the posi trac on my hill with the new van on the ice and it worked fantastic. Supposed to get some more ice and snow tonight. . Got my first shot appointment in town tomorrow.. yea

It's 7F (-14C) in Fort Worth right now! :blink: I've never experienced temperatures this cold in my life!

We're also seeing our first major snow accumulation in 6 years. It used to be an every other year thing when I was a kid & teen, so we we're overdue.

Hasn’t got out of the 30s here since Friday, supposed to get in the mid-teens tonight. Getting some light freezing rain/sleet right now. I hate this type of weather.

This probably the worst February in my 36 years of being on this planet living in Chicago. I seriously feel like its snowed everyday since the calendar flipped to Feb. I needed a place to vent sorry.

After moving to Omaha at the beginning of the year, it dropped a foot of snow on us twice within a month. I leave Omaha with it being minus 10 degrees to go back to Portland for some final moving tasks, and we have a snow and ice storm here. 6-8 inches of snow, in between several layers of ice over the past three days. The last bit of ice is wreaking havoc and toppling trees and knocking out power in my old neighborhood.

Fun times, can't get away from it. I was getting around fairly well when it was frozen, now it's warming and melting off rapidly, which will be good by tomorrow. For now chunks of ice are falling off everything, and since snow plows barely exist here, all side streets are 6 inches of slush.
