Random NASCAR Stuff to talk about.....

I thought this was pretty interesting to see what this survey group voted for. Dirt and a new road course. The road course vote could be celebrating Nascar isn't racing at Texas Motor Speedway

Pocono getting less than 2% after NASCAR scheduled a Pocono double header is delicious.

And Phoenix also scoring less than 2% with it being the final race for the championship?

Source?

Before I draw any conclusions, I'd like to know if this was halfway statistically accurate. Was it one of those 'Vote as many times as you want' thingies?

One of the Reddit users usually does a preseason and postseason survey, and usually one before the playoffs I think too.

Bud you're taking this way too serious. It's a small sample of around 1200 done unscientificly I would guess . Nascar has asked many similar questions in their surveys though. The difference is they keep their findings to themselves

already posted at 22395 but nobody reads these things. Probably a good idea to post it again. Remember, I posted because I thought it would be interesting to share it with the board and it should be fun to see what other people think. At least that is why I posted it. Not as yet one more weapon for those to use to scoff and voice their numerous displeasures.

I saw it, figured I’d link the reddit post the Google doc came from for some context for Charlie.

It’s not supposed to be super scientific as you said, but there are some interesting results in there.

Am I the only person who thinks COTA will put on a terrible show

Just because the open wheelers can't make a race out of the COTA doesn't mean three series of Nascar can't have a good race there IMO. I am firmly convinced that Nascar can't make a race on the Indy oval. Curious to see what happens at the COTA. I can almost bet the trucks will tear that place up. They do Canadian tire well.

I have a bottle of Tabasco Chipotle standing by for my plate of crow. I'll be delighted to have COTA turn out to be the race of the season. But I expect it will be the lowest rated road course race in the RF poll.

Over 80% of those surveyed were under 35. On this forum i wouldn't be surprised that 80% of us are over 35. That might be why some of the results surprised us.

Here is a picture from this morning of Former NASCAR track, my home track and site of future Amazon Fulfillment site, Chicagoland Speedway. Winters here really suck FYI.

Spent one winter there around 81. It was very cold and the wind downtown didn't help any.

the worst. It actually wasnt going so bad this winter but I feel like from end of January to this week, we have had a whole winter season dumped on us in the last 3 weeks or so. This week was especially brutal.

They had to put that weather some where, Texas was all filled up with freezing.

McDowell winning the 500 gives him a great shot at making the chase.
Bell will have no problem earning the minimum points to go along with his win.
So that means we probably already have two unexpected contenders that have qualified leaving only 14 spots for the usual contenders .

Start reading here in the extry high pitch Letarte and Burton voice.
CAUSE IT IS THE CHASE AND EVERY POINT COUNTS.
