Xfinity RACE thread --- Atlanta

For those who think Gragson is wrong, it could be because you dislike him.
Hemric pulled into Gragson's pit, blocking it. No driver should allow that simply because it could cost you at another time. Next time Hemric might take a couple of seconds parking his own car. Nascar should penalize the 18 for blocking a pit box.
See post #81
Watch and listen to the video.
The 99 started the whole thing by being OVER in the 18 pit box. And yes, Gragson was wrong.

You don’t wait around until it is.
No, you don’t.

How did Hemric get into Gragson’s pit box? Was he confused about which box was which? Did he slide through his own or what? Either way ... he made a mistake. Fortunately, none of his team members had to pay for it.

Gragson has one more win then Ty Gibbs in over two years of xfinity competition. He’s the Ollies Bargain Outlet version of Jimmy spencer

I just watched this video and Pockrass is an idiot. He repeatedly said even though Gragson backed up he was in his box, well Bob the tires might have been in but the 3 feet of deck lid wasnt and you are required to control your car on pit road. Its kind of creepy we are talking about this at the very place Mike Rich was killed on Pit Road.

Nate gets it

I think Hemric is an idiot. Gragson wasn’t able to get in the box properly because of Hemric, which is why he had to back up to get in the box properly to not have a penalty. He may have went a little extra feet to hold them up, but they both f*cked with each other a bit

Race drivers play games with each other all the time on pit stops but those games shouldn't include unnecessary endangerment of the pit crew.

4- I learned as a teenager going to punk rock gigs in the early 80's in L.A./SoCal you do NOT go up and shove/ put hands on anyone unless you're willing to take it to the next level.
You must have gone to totally different punk rock gigs than I did (my favorite bands then were The Minutemen and The Plugz).

There were hands/elbows/knees everywhere, often directed with malice. As to shoving, if you weren’t run over by some clown attempting to get closer to the stage, it was a slow night.

I think they should declare a day of mourning for the 19 car with the hole in the front end from that vicious hit.

Wasnt that endangerment by Hemric though just driving into that box as Noah began to come in? As I said they both messed up, but Hemric is an idiot for coming up and fighting him

See post #134. I've moved on to the next debate.

Coming in hot and over shooting isnt even remotely the same thing, backing up while shooting the bird and hitting the car behind you is if nothing else embarrassing. NASCAR flat blew this one

I could care less about two little kiddies fighting. It happens on the play grounds at schools across this great country on a daily basis. But, that was a very dangerous move in the pit and a crew guy could have been severely injured if they had not reacted quickly. If I was the owner or team manager there would definitely be a come to Jesus meeting with that little youngster. I have a feeling that Gragson is not going to be winning any popularity contests between the drivers anytime soon. It is not usually a good sign when other drivers bump fists a driver for confronting you. :)

I think dumbassery is part of Gragson’s make-up. This will empower him and he’ll likely have another opportunity to show his idiocy.

what it didn't show was Hemric was in his pit box that started the whole thing.
So because of that it is ok for the stupid little shi-t to almost run over crew guys? I think either your love for Gragson or your dislike for Hemric is clouding you judgement on this one. There is no excuse for that cheap dangerous half backed bullshi-t Gragson pulled.

Upon further review by Nascar ;) I don't see any crew guys remotely threatened, or a hole knocked in the front of the car. If anything Gragson's crew guys standing out in the road could have been more at risk

From reading all of your posts it's pretty obvious that you don't. ;)

Well that's because we found out first hand in Harrison getting his face pushed in by Noah.

He hasn’t always been a Gragson guy ... because the kid started out in KBM trucks and Evil Empire Bondo-Yoter B Main cars.

Now, butter won’t melt in his mouth. Shocking...

neither did Nascar ;)
I have not heard or read anything from NASCAR and I really don't need to because my eyes still see pretty clearly. We can sit here and wink at each other all day long but it is not going to change what I saw as a very stupid, dangerous, and immature move on Gragsons part. ;) As far as either driver goes they could both be very nice young men or they could both be real dic-ks..I don't know because I haven't watched an infinity race in a few years so I don't know much about either one of them.

Couple of ya are starting the personal attacks B.S. You don't want to go there, be a bit more mature.

If you would move up to post # 133 it's right there for those who aren't wearing their glasses

Ok I did and nothing there that explained much. Nothing about the crew guys in danger. I didn't figure he hit the other car on purpose. But that doesn't change the fact that it was a very careless move and that he could have caused serious injury to a crew guy if the timing had been just a little sooner.. As far as the fight I couldn't care less about that.

I did not watch it live, however both Gragson and Hemric have the same issue.

There is no guaranteeing who and where they will be, especially Hemric, he looks as if he's completely unhinged IMHO. He knows this very well could be his last chance in being in a good ride in the top three series. He's shown more emotion than I have seen from out of him for the past six or seven years.

Gragson without Johnny Morris would be a goner, even Jr admitted that.

Both are in a situation of "put up or shut up", so I see it as just emotions from both reaching its climax. A lot of racing to go, but I hope both of them get their heads screwed on and move forward.

The brat went with "I didn't mean to" and they bought it, because they'd prefer to buy it for now. Gragson's volatility is good for the show, for now.

I'm amused that Scott Miller is basically acting as Gragson's publicist here.

There have been others before him that were just as toxic in their behavior. Usually the only way to continue to get away with it is to be a transcendent talent. I don't believe Gragson is at that level, but I could be wrong. To grow up, he'll need to be held accountable at some point.

181 races in the top 3 series for Hemeric and no wins. Gragson 122 races with 4 wins. Neither are setting the world on fire.
