All Star Circuit of Champions 2021

Definitely an odd ending, more of a survival race the last 5 laps. Smoke only led from the exit of turn 4 to the line.

Here's Smokes tire after the race

Wonder if Dewease will have anything for Larson here, hope so.

Fantastic race tonight. For much of the distance it was a duel between pole starter Tyler Courtney and Logan Wagner, with Wagner coming out on top. Two final lap cautions meant that Wagner had to survive two more restarts and a charge by Anthony Macri, who drove from 21st to 2nd.

Posse showed up strong for this one

Playing to much Tony Hawk Pro Skater don't want to grind the rail that much.

Rico led most of tonight's race, but Anthony Macri passed him on the last restart and won. Macri looked just as good as he did last night, was on rails.

By far the best young driver in PA right now I'd say only 21

Brent Marks changing rides wonder if it changes his plans of following the All Stars.

Blaney finishes 3rd at his own track and goes straight to his pit bypassing post race inspection. Credited with last. I wouldn't be surprised that he did it out of respect to the series regulars for both points and payout.

That would be kinda legendary if that was why, but he also could have simply thought he was scored 4th instead of 3rd, or a similar mental slip. Impressive run for him regardless.

The track was a disaster in 1 and 2. Justin Peck in the 13 was putting on a show until the track claimed him

Highlights: ASCoC @ Tri-City Raceway Park 5.2.2021

Yes he was. Big swing in the points, as Peck was leading the standings and looked like he was going to win the race, and instead DNFs. Tyler Courtney finished second to get his best finish with ASCoC yet.

Tyler Courtney scores his first ASCoC win. Likely the first of many. That team and driver have improved so quickly that I think they should be considered a favorite for the championship at this point. Ian Madsen second, Justin Peck third in a good race.

Main event about to go green on Flo from the new Circle City Raceway in Indy. Lots of non-wingers in the field tonight too.

Courtney was pretty dominant in this one for the distance, and he is going to win a lot of races in this series this year. However, the final caution with three to go bunched them up, and Carson Short was suddenly able to keep up and they battled hard to the finish, with Sunshine barely prevailing. Thrilling finish to a good race.

Good ending for sure

Sunshine wins again tonight, his third victory in the last five ASCoC races (he was second in the other two). Rico passed him and led for a stretch in the middle, but Courtney got him back.

Indeed it is. I'm surprised that not a single WoO team showed up for $26k though, especially with them headed to Indiana next anyway.
Don't they get in trouble for doing that?

Don't they get in trouble for doing that?

They have to get permission, but it seemed to have opened up a bit in the past year, and I thought there were instances this year where some WoO teams ran with ASCoC, and not just at Speedweeks. Maybe I'm misremembering.

Kofoid will start on the pole in the Swindell Speedlab #39, but Courtney is starting alongside him. That would be my pick, especially on such familiar turf. Rico also looks very fast tonight, he'll start third.

This race doesn't want to keep going

Wow, that was going to be a hell of a run for Bacon until that happened. Weird night.

That was awesome once they finally got a long green run, and then another bout of awful luck strikes leader Kerry Madsen as he looks set to run away with it. Wow.

Zeb Wise gets his first ASCoC win, and it's a big one. Courtney second, Abreu third, Cole Macedo from the B to 4th.

Lots of carnage. Kofoid broke while running second, Bacon broke while leading, Madsen has a lapped car spin right in front of him while running away with the race late.

Somehow Sheldon threw one away without even entering...

Sitting here at Port Royal waiting for the Weikert Memorial Race in the rain. There is a slim chance, but a chance we will see some racing this weekend.
