How do you spend your Sunday when it's a 550 HP race?

I was sitting in my big comfortable recliner with a nice cool breeze blowing through my extremely grey hair eating delicious food all day while watching 1,100 miles of racing and chatting with all of my RF buddies. I would love to do the same thing again today but there is no live Indy or NASCAR racing to watch. :D

I'll say one thing about the original post. At least he has enough sense to not waste his day if he doesn't like the package, and constantly moan and bitch about it to people who could give a sheet. Kudos for good sense and probably the most constructive way to get the package changed for lack of interest. What do I do? Watch the races

After I mowed the grass today I figured that was a good day's work so I watched Indy again in its entirety plus the last 100 laps of the 600. Watching Helio's celebration again was at least as much fun as the first time.

That was an awesome celebration.

550 hp is a huge issue but it is only one 8f dozens of issues that lead to lackluster racing. I watch every race with the same amount of open-mindedness regardless of package, track, or any other variable. However, the 550 hp races usually get the lowest ratings from me and I don't think it is a coincidence.

At the very least, NASCAR can get rid of stage cautions to speed these races up and let strategy play out. The only decent racing on 550 hp is the first 3 laps after a restart.....aaaaand I just had an epiphany. Is this the reason NASCAR instituted stages? Because they knew the package would suck even more without as many restarts as possible?

I'm fortunate to live in Colorado so do a lot of hiking but somtimes I just sleep or read.

I laugh at your post because the thread title you created often runs thru my mind.

Lately I watch live even though I despise the package, because I'm addicted to the other aspects of nascar that doesn't include the 550. (nascar knows they set the hook on me, so they do what they do, and it's up to me to find the silver lining).

The other times I take a break dvr and hit the water/sports in the sun for the day. Or, if I'm wiped out, it's nap time like yourself. I find that I enjoy watching the race more this way since I can 100% focus in continously and there's an all day build up looking forward to watching it at some point. Like a saved treasure.

550hp is not the problem,
huge downforce is.
i would like to see the cuppers run xfinity cars at cookie tracks.

Just like the PJ1 compound, the 550hp high downforce package is just a band-aid on the problem that stock cars just don't put on a good show at 1.5 tri-oval intermediate tracks. I'm usually on DirtVision when the 550hp tracks are on the schedule.

DVR and watch when nothing else going on. About like all day races anymore....

I am spending my day watching the race.

Hope there is an Indycar race to watch instead, and if not, hopping on my motorcycle and hitting the backroads

Is this a safe space to say how much I dislike the low HP/ High downforce package?
