My new toy! Like I said, I haven'tView attachment 48778View attachment 48779View attachment 48778View attachment 48779 purchased a new one in quite sometime, but I really do like how they look. I'd show you the other, but apparently they thought I wanted a Jimmie Johnson hat instead. Yeah...I don't wear hats. Mistakes happen, but hopefully it's not a pain to get it resolved.

Fantastic choice! That Liberty car has grown on me a lot since we were commenting here about it lol

That Camero looks so good

I found a glass from the thrift store last month with all the Indy 500 winners on it...
...
...
...
And the last winner listed is Rutherford, 1974 (I think). That was an INCREDIBLE find. I'd be happy to give it to any of the big open wheel guys here. I'll post a picture of it here someday.

The first NASCAR race I attended was coincidentally the last race that Mr. Johnson won. I visited home today and found my ticket. It seems a nice addition to the display of the signed race-win die-cast:

So grateful that I got to see homeboy in victory lane in person. Thought there would be much more!!

That’s incredible! So cool you got to see his last win in person! The diecast looks awesome! That is a highly collectible item now

That paint scheme is incredible! Great selection!

It definitely should be a ‘Raced Version’. I just took a look and I think I see the car on there with picture you described. The car will look as it did when it was in the winners circle

I like the raced versions the best

Yup! Raced version. So cool...except it hit the bank account this week. Little bit of trouble making a purchase so close to Christmas. Lol

@Ford 222 Love it! Great looking car! The raced versions are really sweet with those white paint schemes.

the ‘grease & dirt’ on the front end of the cars after the races makes the cars look ‘tougher‘ lol

I agree...pretty neat idea to commemorate a win. Thank you! I staged it in the house waiting on the wife to find it....lol

I've been wanting a Darrell Waltrip Western Auto shirt for a while now, but couldn't find a nice one in my size for a reasonable price. Well I got really lucky and came across this on ebay for under $10.....

Most of my collection is in storage at the moment since I recently moved, but I guess that hasn't stopped me from finding more stuff to buy lol. I picked up a few cool things from a local antique mall today.

Rusty Wallace flag from 1991, Dale Earnhardt Corn Flakes box from '94....

Busch NASCAR lighted sign from 1988...

1/18 scale Jeff Gordon from 1995, 1/18 scale Rick Mast from '96, 1/24 scale Kyle Busch from '04, 1/43 scale Jeff Gordon 1999 Daytona win.....

What a BA paint scheme and a great memoir to your first race. I still can't believe I went to Dover 6 times from 04-18 and never saw him win there.

Does anyone want any of this stuff before I list it on ebay? I would sell anything pictured here to a racing forums member for far less than I'll be asking on ebay. The jackets are XL, hats are all adjustable. The jackets are a little baggy on me and I rarely wear hats nowadays......

Mods feel free to delete if not allowed. I wasn't sure where to post this, I just figured maybe someone on R-F might want something here

Is that DW tide hat and Tim Richmond hat legit or a reproduction

I really don't think either one is a reproduction.

I'm 99% sure the Folgers hat is original from the 80's, but there are no tags to confirm. Judging by the style and material, it sure seems like a vintage hat though. Also, it's not technically a Tim Richmond hat since it doesn't have his name or number on it anywhere, but it's clearly from that time period.

The Tide DW hat is 100% original but they made a ton of them, so it's not exactly rare. There's a few just like it on ebay right now for $50+ which quite frankly is outrageous IMO.

Here's the tag on the DW hat....

I am on several forums that each have a "FOR SALE" and a "WANTED TO BUY" section for forum members in them, maybe we could start one here. :idunno:

Finally got the email that my 1/24 Chase Phoenix race win diecast shipped!

Finally got my Raced version of Chases car from Phoenix last year, pretty cool even have some tire shedding from the burnout and a folded under fender.

I bought this from an antique store in Logan, OH yesterday. It's about 20" long and made of ceramic or something. Surprisingly heavy!

Accidental replica of the race where his car had the numbers slanted forward instead of backwards.

There isn't really much of a slant to it either way, but that's the first thing I noticed lol. Also noticed the logo on the hood and a few of the contingency decals were a bit wonky too

In my continuing quest to pick up the most random diecast cars, because I find them more interesting then having 800 different Dale Jr cars...is what I picked up at a trade show today, a Kasey Kahne Busch car from 2004 and a 1998 Mike Dillon car. The Kasey car will go well with my other Kasey Xfinity car I picked up a few months ago.

This week for my birthday I also was given a huge collection of Richard Petty stuff. My moms friend who gave me a good part of my collection a few years ago decided to part with the rest of his collection. It has a lot of diecasts that I plan to go through this week. As always I love trade shows because I can get the cars for dirt cheap. Spent $30 20 for Kasey $10 for Dillon.

I have both the Nilla Wafers #3 car and the Rice Krispie Treats #5

Some of this stuff is so amazing, I just looked up some of the things that were made by the Franklin Mint. This 1:43 hauler in box is going on eBay currently for $300+

Speaking of random diecasts it reminds me of this one I own. It’s a 1:24 2009 Bobby Labonte Ask.com car. This scheme ran for roughly half the 2009 season for Hall of Fame Racing.
Where did it come from? Why do I own it? What was the motivation for manufacturing this? All valid questions. Every time I see it sitting with my other cars I still get a kick out of it lol.

A cool clock at a good price for any of you Earnhardt fans....
