Not taking anything away from the great run he had at Darlington

I saw some talk that he had a better engine than he had run before

Is this true?
 
Yeah I agree. I don't think a big motor makes that much difference unless the smaller motor is pretty junky. It's all about the corners at Darlington
 
I know he said for the Dayonta race was the first time this season they were given (paid for) the top tier Henrick engines, which be explained that they had previously been running technology prior to the Hendrick/ECR alliance. Not sure what level of motor he had in the car at Darlington

Probably the first time they were able to afford to run with the shorter pushrods.
