Johali's Rate the Cup race --- Las Vegas

2.

That blew monkey nuts

2.5 because at least someone was in the same camera shot as the leader the last 3-4 laps

1. This package sucks and this track kinda sucks.

2. 550 package at its worst with a terrible start time to boot

3 - restarts then spread out in dirty air. I was afraid this would be a snoozer.

My first thought was 4, but then thinking about it; 4.

It was on in the background, think I looked at it a couple times.
5

4 but I listened to most of it on the radio so they can make it sound better than it actually was.

Well, it wasn't quite as boring as an F1 race, and nowhere near as destructive as a plate race. There were some ... interesting ... pit strategies.

(Mom said if I can't say something nice, )

7. Lots of unnecessary complaining because the package sucks. I’ve seen worse. But 750 needs to come back.

Having attended the Coke 600 where MTJ led like 392 of 400 laps, I feel your pain.
Not sure why greatness or dominance of 1 driver is indicative of a whole race, that said that Coke 600 was probably boring IIRC

20 gazillion. Crucial win for Hamlin at a non-Hamlin track until Gabehart fixed it. Great TRD performance on a non-Toyota track. Tons to love. Denny was vulnerable in this round. See ya in the Round of 8. Epic.

3.5

I'm still besides myself that NASCAR created this package to make more pack racing, while in reality it just makes everyone get single file, makes passing impossible, and lends its self to creating near-zero driver mistakes for a whole race.

NASCAR took the 2013 Daytona 500 and said “yep, we want this at 1.5 mile tracks”.

Okay!! Face it ! We're spoiled after the great racing at Bristol. Rate the race? Was it a race? Giving the benefit of the doubt to those who watched the "race" at Las Vegas I'll score it from here as a 2.0 And that is being generous. 👎
