2022 Xfinity Series News

I remember raising this possibility when I first learned of the phrase. I was told Brandon was cool with it. I wonder if the person who posted that was misinformed, or if economic reality has changed his mind. It's a shame because none of this is his fault.

Just keep talking about it and turn off every sponsor.
Who the hell hires their PR people??

Since you're referring to me, Brandon did not raise this issue immediately after the phrase became popular.

He had problems finding sponsorship before but I agree that the current issues are not his fault. Blame Krista Voda.

How can you blame Krista, she was trying to spin something positive out of any already **** situation.

Can't be mad at either of them, I feel as if NASCAR or Comcast was truly serious, they should sponsor BMS to offset lost sponsorship opportunities. Use Xfinity branding or some product of Comcast for X amount of races.

For sure the only people to blame are the FJB people who think they are somehow upsetting anyone.

Lets be honest sponsors were exactly knocking down the door for Brandon prior to this. But I have to imagine as many sponsors as its driven away its also attracted a few. I mean he did actually win a race

What pisses me off about the Brandon thing is that this sport is getting marginalized for the sake of "secret" political message. I wonder what percentage of those who wear the t-shirts, quote the "slogan," and fly that flag actually know who the hell he is, and what sport he participates in. My "field research" has shown me that the percentage is currently at 0. If we consider the NASCAR community the drivers, owners, sponsors, and fans.....the optics are not good. We have always sought the coveted "target demographic," and all we get is this?

I agree with you regarding the lack of knowledge when it comes to Brandon Brown. Even though I follow NASCAR I had no idea where the Let's Go Brandon came from. After several weeks I had to Google to see where it started. I was surprised to find out how it went down in Talladega. But I don't understand why somebody would get their panties all waded up over it.

I live in a part of the country (Pacific Northwest) where there isn't much respect for NASCAR IMO. We just got Xfinity at Portland. I would like to see Cup. This doesn't help, and it isn't about political affiliation. This feeds the old school Confederate flag, booze running, outlaw image which has been shunned around here. I'd like to see the sport respected in places where it doesn't get much because it deserves it. The sport is getting exploited by some who haven't taken the time to understand the origins of their verbal vomit.

It’s all Mutt’s fault ...

I think Matty D. is a complete head case. Brandon Brown seemingly understands the consequences of his affiliations....but a NASCAR veteran who has been whining for a break doesn't? I think Matt becomes absorbed in his entitled narrative, and feels that he is immune to criticism and scrutiny. He isn't. Unbelievable that neither he nor his "handlers" couldn't figure out that maybe this isn't the right time for his coming out party. Whatever hope he had is gone.

Sponsors may not want to be associated with a phrase that translates to 'F*** Joe Biden". Prudes and Democrats spend money too, including government contracting offices.

You act like you care about nascar yet you said in another thread if Toyota left nascar so would you.

I do care about NASCAR because Toyota deeply cares about NASCAR.

Could a mod delete the previous post, please?

I look at it this way, now he's actually profiting from off of the statement. Politics aside, that was the issue from the beginning with it all. His win was overshadowed by the statement, now he's put his own spin to make money off of it.

It's a pretty smart move.

However what is not smart is that it is a meme coin.

A admitted meme coin, or a pump and dump currency that holds no real value...

This maybe good or go horribly wrong.

Does Goodyear accept payment in LGBcoin?
I would not trade my ETH for LGBCoin.

It's worthless, although the operation seems organized. They are on established crypto trading sites and has shown consistent growth for the past month. I just hope it stays consistent and BMS got paid upfront because this is a major leap of faith.

If this was his best sponsorship offer then he really did get screwed over. Count me as a "Lets go brandon coin" doubter.

I just separate the politics from the business aspect.

It's supposed to take on a new meaning with this now and he can at least make some money off of his name being used.

Oh I have no issue with him taking their money and making the most of a bad situation, I just don't think it will be very fruitful. My thought is he would have been better off had this "movement" never occurred sponsorship wise. I hope I'm wrong.

Bed is made, now they have to lay in it.

I echo your feelings, for sure.

She could’ve not said anything about the crowd at all tbh. Like she bought more attention to it. If she never says “they are saying let’s go Brandon” it never becomes a thing, and that’s a fact you can’t even deny.

Wait. The reporter was Kelli Stavast. Lol how did Krista become apart of this lol
I got the reporters mixed up, I'm not mad at either of them.

Kelli made the most out of a **** situation, Brandon is now making money off his that quote.

It was the only out they had or go unsponsored. Brandon was "guilty by association" and has gotten screwed over either way. Now he can actually make money off of his name, but the crpyto is ehhhhhhh. Even though its a growing base, I feel as if this was their only option of being able to fund the team.

It was a lose-lose situation from the outset. Literally a case of, "Shaking hands with the devil".

I can imagine now sponsors and even people within the industry are going to hate this team. It's a really bad situation.

If you think she's more at fault than Matt is then idk what to tell you. She made a mistake in the moment and had no way to forsee what would become of it... and Matt used a slogan that has actively harmed Brandon Brown's career without a thought as to how it would affect him. Or a thought as to how it would affect the race team that gave him the biggest break of his career. Or NASCAR as a whole. If he really thought it was so important that the world knows what "Matt Dibenedetto" thinks about Joe Biden he should have said it in a way that doesn't harm a fellow driver.

True or false, if she never says it, it’s never a thing.
