Pit exit looks pretty dangerous.

The Turnpike section is nuts. A few guys are stuffing it in the wall a few times there this weekend I bet.

T 14/15 chicane looks nasty. I guess I ought to be
happy with the two F1 race weekends I have been to.
Certainly out of budget limits theses days. Atmosphere
looks wonderful though in Miami.

The influencers are out and about.

Fast track, but nothing distinctively "Miami" about it. I was expecting something along the beach or marina, this track could be anywhere.

I think they did a nice job dressing it up, but some of the overhead shots where the neighborhood is very visible are funny. Same with the parking along the canal on the back straight.

Downtown didn’t want the race so a few years ago Ross just decided to make a circuit around his stadium, simple enough. But even then they had proposed using some of 199th Street and had to cut it out for the final layout.

After watching practice yesterday, I took notice of the landscape in and around the track and think they did a very nice job of making it look "pretty". I'm still trying to decide if I like the track itself but I'll wait for the race to see how it will work.
That one section right before the backstretch is Mickey Mouse, but the rest of the circuit is a lot like Jedda. If they can bypass that stupid chicane next year thy will have a decent track.

I also don't really care either way about the fake "Marina." With the DRS handicap for following cars, and mandatory "option" tires with built in degradation that "spices up the show," F1 was already fake.

Turnpike section is doing exactly what it was supposed to so far. Might be a Leclerc Imola moment coming in the race tomorrow.

This is turning out to be a squirrely weekend. The Mercs looked great yesterday, but now they are crap. Both Haas cars in the top 10. Fernando fourth! Whacky!

Actually Fernando is not that big of a surprise. The Alpines have the speed to get better results, but just have not executed. The Hass team continues with the good surprises.

Still, what the hell is happening at Mercedes? How did the car go from fastest to 16th overnight?

This track looks like its been there for decades. I like it better
than Austin so far imo. I love the trees lining the track. I'd
like to see Hambone get on the top 2 rows but still
in the Max camp.

I don’t think P6 and P12 are what Mercedes were looking for.

Red Bull and Ferrari are awfully tight again, should be a good race if they keep it clean at the start. Tricky circuit.

At least they aren't losing ground, but very disappointing after George led P2.

The speed is in the Mercedes, that is, when they can unlock it. The car was fast yesterday and junk today. World's fastest rubic's cube.

Yeah, Russell said after Q they’re miffed by it still. The car has an extremely narrow setup window and when it’s not perfect with the conditions it falls to mediocrity pretty quickly. Maybe after heavy rain last night the track will be more in their favor again? They ran the same setups in qualifying as they did on Friday and it sounds as though track evolution caught them out.

I don't like Danica Patrick as a commentator but she's looking sexy so can't complain too much.

I agree with you but not so much with the sexy part. I'd much rather have the Sky Sports regulars which would include any of the women.

Fantastic move by Max on the pit straight.

Mick showed some good side-by-side skill on Yuki earlier.

Red Bull had tire wear advantage on mediums but Max and Charles are trading fastest laps now on hard tires.

That was too ambitious by Alonso on Gasly.

This race turned out WAY better than I thought it would. Real happy with all the passing that was happening.
