Bonehead of the week: Road America

Until Jeff Burton is gone from the booth it will ALWAYS be NBC. Saturdays race was almost unwatchable because he wouldn't shut up. yapyapyap.

I get so tried of hearing Burton constantly speaking for the guys in the cars. Always telling us what they are thinking at every moment, how much they are learning, how difficult everything is, blah blah blah. STFU and let the racing speak for itself.

Gragson is not only an idiot, but also a danger to other drivers on the track. That move to just hook Karam on the run down to turn 5 in front of the entire field... I was furious. Thank God nobody was seriously hurt.

He needs to get driven into a concrete wall at a very high speed (Kyle Busch/Hornaday - Texas style) and/or just decked in the face very hard.... and then maybe he will learn a lesson. If either of those fail, then he needs to be sat for a couple of races. I'm shocked that Dale Jr hasn't done anything to Noah yet.

Another note: NASCAR safety response time is still laughably sad and inadequate. The fact that Myatt Snider was the first one to Brandon Brown is just not acceptable at any level, it's just not.

That's probably one of the first things you learn in broadcasting school, the talent is out front and not in the booth. It gets pretty creepy when he thinks he knows what the drivers are thinking.
Practice at Road America was painful. It was like they were sitting at a picnic table at the race track with their backs turned to the track. Every once in awhile they would stop their B.S. and turn around to look in on the practice, or check in with Rutt, B.S. with him for another 5 minutes on and on.

another nominee for the bonehead hall of fame

I'd vote gragson. If Brad K's car didn't get airborn we wouldn't even be talking about it still. Noah turned a car sideways down a narrow and blind straight at full speed in front of like 90% of the field.

both were bad though

The perfect contrast was Barney Hall imo, I miss his understated delivery. Maybe "understated" is a bit of a contradiction for a man in the booth. But Barney kept the attention on the race without the torture or drawing needless attention to himself.

The NBC crew is a loud sh!tshow in comparison. Old Jeff Burton is a disservice to the great memories young Jeff produced behind the wheel.

The bonehead(s) of the race are everybody that has propped Gragson up over the years. Moody in particular...and the race media in general. Promoted as the free spirit, the villain, the showman....until he goes jackwad, and ***** up an Xfinity part timer and a bunch of others. It's only Wednesday (actually Day 2 of post race week when you factor in the holiday), and we have his owner denouncing his behavior, and ole Noah admits fault and apologizes. In just two days (subtract the holiday), and everybody who has gushed over this kid has about faced, and went all Chase Elliott on him. In a sport that has no clue what it really wants, my advice to Noah would have been to own what many feel is over the line (myself included), but stay true to the dick he absolutely is. Instead, we have the next Jimmie Johnson. Unfortunate.

NASCAR for not having this the week after the 4th of July week night race at Daytona.

I’ll let the point be known that the 4th of July should be the “Firecracker 400” or big sponsor “Coke Zero 400” on 4th of July week. Road America is a nice race that should be right after.

She's not the owner...but I bet she might have a word with her brother for showing her up.
what are you talking about..Jr shows up occasionally to B.S. in the shop, Kelly runs the place

She is the vice-president of JR Motorsports which she co-owns with her brother, Dale Earnhardt Jr
She is credited with bringing Danica Patrick to the team's Nationwide Series car.
On July 29, 2019, agricultural company Brandt appointed Earnhardt Miller into the Board of Directors. Brandt is currently one of JR Motorsports' partners, sponsoring the No. 7 team
