Bonehead of the Week: Indy

Nascar for running with this track configuration and then making up new rules mid race to punished the #1. (No I'm not really a Ross fan I just want to know what rule he actually broke?). Consistency is key

Pretty sure Roger Penske is the one that wants to run here instead of the oval.

People who still think the oval be better.
The late race carnage at the end and drivers lack of turning into turn 1 off restarts all afternoon was way more entertaining

NASCAR for not having a clear cut rule and penalizing Ross Chastain for WHEN something happened, not WHAT happened. They let the access road shenanigans go on all race long.

NBC for having a crap app. Not mad at WITN for their breaking news coverage of a tornado warning in a populous city, but would've been nice if NBC's app worked.

Too all of the people who continued watching this offense to automotive racing in spite of the realization of the traumatic experience.

Hope it was worth the sleep you will be losing in the next few years, and the high cost of the Adderall that you are going to be needing to get by after this race for the rest of your life.

Knowing that you no longer have the desire to live after the Indy Road Course, the experience has left you believing you just cant believe in anything anymore.

The anger and hate in you that keeps on blaming the Captain and the NBC gerbils for the pain inflicted on you today.

You look at the mirror and the reality of it all hunts your soul down. Relentlessly like Dog the Bounty Hunter, and you wil hear his lonely 2am bonehead howl for the rest of your life. The Dirge will be all about how you willingly did this all to yourself.

Not me, I slept thru to 10 laps to go

then according to Maximus Decuimus Meridius

“I was entertained”. !!!

I’m not sure anyone is going to lose sleep over a garbage race.
There were better things to watch on TV today and I clicked back and forth truly hoping for some quality racing. It didn’t happen.
On to next week.
Hopefully NASCAR frequents this website.
Today was garbage racing.

I would exceed the character limit of this box I'm typing in if I listed them all lol

I debated giving it by Byron, because they keep screwing up their shot at a good finish, but I guess they are locked into the chase, so it doesn't matter. Unless you believe in momentum which they don't really have.

However, I have to give it to NASCAR. For one, Rovals don't need to be a thing. But more importantly, they need to think about how things might play out before the race. It's obvious that Chastain blew through turn 1 on purpose, but it's also obvious that NASCAR hadn't made it clear about what would happen if you had to do what Chastain did. Having to make up the rules on the fly looks extremely bad.

Nascar for swallowing the whistle on last restart. Last year they told Briscoe he needed to do a stop and go in half a lap after he cut turn one corner.

I believe they did

Bonehead of the week: about 50% of the field having no clue how to road race and the nonstop issues of overshooting corners all day.
