Christopher Bell Appreciation Thread

What if the roles were reversed at Vegas.....if Bubba ran Larson up against the wall off the corner, and Larson retaliated in the same manner as Bubba?

As much as you complained about Byron, you would have lost your damn mind about Larson. But yeah, sure, they are "the same"
I lost my ******** mind with Bubba. I hate this ****.

Reading through this thread gave me a headache.

Yep, I'm out. For the record, I hate what both Byron and Bubba did. I want racing back. Not this ****. Goodnight brother.

Another walk off. Hell of a job Bell! Yes!

What’s a walk off? 🤔
Seriously? Figured you know that term man. It’s when you win at the last possible chance. Like say in baseball, bottom of the 9th, you’re down say 4-3. Man on first and you hit a home run. That’s a walk off home run. You won at the very end. Here with Bell needing a win to keep his hopes alive, he did just that and walked it off.

Another clutch win. I think this is Bell's breakout season, but I don't think he wins it. This will be the season where he tastes it, but doesn't actually get it done for another few seasons, imo.

I think with the new car, everything is possible. He has a hell of a shot in Phoenix.

Feeling like Bell has become the new closer. One more time baby!!!! Let's ****** go!

So damn proud of the 20 team. Nowhere all weekend.....until race day. Christopher's day will come. What a fight!

Just a sloppy race from everyone except the 22. 20 and 1 had something for Joey on the long run, just couldn't get out of their own ways.

Yeah, but you know, this is a team sport....and that car was nowhere on Friday, and marginally better on Saturday. Adam doing Adam things got Bell into the game. One pit stop from a second place finish....just an outside shot at being able to take on the dominant car. I am never satisfied with anything other than a win, but I think you pointed out that you have to kind of go through getting there and losing it before you can win it. This was that IMO.

CBell gave an interview last night and one of the unexpected fallouts of Coy Gibbs passing is he was the biggest supporter behind JGR letting Bell race on dirt. Joe Gibbs has cut that off for the foreseeable future.

Dang! Because it was clearly keeping from being competitive last season?......

Wasn’t it reported somewhere that Joe got scared by what happened to the SHR engineer in Bell’s micros event at Texas? That sucks but I guess I can see why.

I know I posted that in the Chili Bowl thread, this just confirms that Joe isn't on board.

I'd like to hear that interview....Where did you hear/see it?

Didn't Bell threaten to skip the Chili Bowl (as did Larson) because of the money issue?

If Bell said that, I am disappointed. Bad form to pit your deceased boss's opinion against the owner of the team who happens to be the father of your deceased boss.

@ around the one hour mark, give or take, Bell talks about Joe and why he isn't racing on dirt anymore. A little farther in the clip Bell says "for the time being" he won't be racing dirt. What that means is pure speculation after that part.

Appreciate it. Nothing about this I like.

Bell actually never spoke about it. He was just lumped in because people assumed.
In fact, in the vid he sings the praises of growing the Chili Bowl. Meanwhile Larson bitches about the purses. Interesting.

It won’t be long before CBell is “the franchise” at Gibbs Racing.

He signed a long term contract extension in 2022. Presumably, the contract language allows management to limit his extra-curricular racing activities.

Never heard a discouraging word from Bell until. Very effective way to get out of a contract. It will be interesting to see if Bell keeps up the pressure.

Unhappy Christopher Bell Doesn’t Hold Back Feelings and Calls Out Joe Gibbs for Taking Away Something From Him That Late Son Coy Had Encouraged Him to Do.

You’d think going into the start of the 2023 season, the organization would be doing everything in its power to please its new star. Think again.

By the same token Toyota has developed a sprint car motor. That is one of the reasons Bell started his dirt racing team with his father in law this year. Bell is supposed to race the new Toyota motor.

Christopher has some growing up to do apparently. Leveraging Coy's death against Coach to play in the dirt looks bad on all fronts. JGR still has the Kyle ****** Busch Crisis Response Team ready to handle **** like this. I am not worried.

Agreed....bitching about what you signed after the fact is either a sign of entitlement or immaturity. I will go with the latter, and count on the JGR Crisis Response Team to settle things down.

I don't have a clue what his contract status is but sounds like the next one will allow it or he'll be looking around

I hear that. Sounds like Bell has a gag order clause lol.

"I don’t know what the future holds for me dirt track racing".

Bell started a brand new open wheel dirt team this with his father in law racing micros, midgets, and 360 sprints and Bell was supposed to race a 410 sprint when the yotas came out with their 410 motor. Sounds like a bit of TRD chaos.

I hope Bell ends up at SHR next. Bell, Stenhouse, Briscoe and Preece would be an awesome lineup for them.

I hope Bell gets it straightened out, that is leaving a lot of money on the table not being able to race, not to mention screwing his fan base over.
