March Madness 2025

There goes our first top 4 seed. Dreadful offensive performance by the Johnnies.

Calipari might end up going further than Kentucky after all.

I couldn’t stand Vlad Goldin at FAU but he’s transitioned to the “big leagues” way better than I expected. Really impressive and actually fun to watch when you don’t have a reason to root against him.

Agreed.

Florida is lucky to be alive. They have not looked good since the SEC tournament.

I generally like Hurley since I think CBB needed someone to establish themselves as an elite HC and dynamic personality after the rash of retirements in the past several years, but he got pretty carried away with the “world is out to get us” narrative this season. Hopefully he reins it in a bit next season. Still a fan of the guy.

Fwiw, not like Florida converted their FTs today anyways.

1 perfect bracket remains...

Illinois literally handing the ball away to the Wildcats in the second half now.

Indy is going to be an absolute madhouse with Purdue, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Not looking too good for the perfect bracket. They chose Illinois over Kentucky. Looks like another year with zero perfects...

I hate how disgustingly bad free throw shooting is
Myself as well. It's a free mid-range shot. You'd think players would practice it more. It's free points. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a team lose a close game because they missed half their free throws.

Hate to see this.
Almost certainly an ACL tear.

Devastating and deflating…I wanted that Juju/Paige Elite 8 matchup badly again. Likely won’t be back in time for the start of next season either.

The NIL era tournaments will be like this. Boring first two rounds won by big money teams.
We’re still two years removed from a Final Four that featured FAU and SDSU, so I don’t think we’re that far gone just yet. The 2023 CFB season was historically top-heavy before this past season was quite a bit more chaotic, so I think it may just be the natural swinging of the pendulum. We’re still pretty early on in the learning curve as it relates to the NIL and unrestricted transfers.
