its so weird they're going there this late in the year. I got used to the mid June date. Weird. There are somethings I miss with the old schedule like the time of year I'd know where theyd be racing at but I am a creature of routine.

I'm used to it's date being a reason to celebrate, as it used to be the last race on Fox. :whoopee:

It is weird, and I had major concerns about the weather when I first heard of the change. I have been here at 106, and it is brutal. We are being blessed this year, honestly. My son is a meteorologist, and he explained to me that there is a weird weather pattern set up for this weekend. There is high pressure in the Four Corners and offshore. So, things are baking inland. However, this scenario creates kind of a vacuum at the track where cooler air will be sucked up from the Bay to the south. This will result in temps in the mid 70s to low 80 for Saturday and Sunday. Should be awesome. Having said all of that, I think a spring date for Sonoma would be perfect.

Everybody chasing SVG. He says his car is not good in race trim. Okay. Bell is good enough on the long run to get close with maybe some strategy (Adam's usual MO here). If Ty can get close, I don't think there is anything that he wouldn't do for a win. Tyler Allen was on his radio yesterday....not sure if Gabehart is still managing this or not. Reddick just doesn't seem to be himself, but Billy has shown that he can use strategy to get there. Tyler is fast enough to win, but might need some help.

Heading to the track in a few. Literally no sleep....just too excited. Get to see Bell, Erik, and Ty in the Gazoo Garage. I. Love. This. So. Much.

I’m glad that Bowman and Wallace have talked it over and seem to have settled their differences for now. I have gained some respect back for Wallace after he bought Bowman dinner in California. He said that was the least he could do for making them both look like fools in Chicago. Bowman also was very classy about the unfortunate way everything played out in those final laps. I got my information from an article from Speedway Digest.
