College Football 2025

Clemson will win the gane but I doubt that anyone is impressed

Getting our ****** ass beat
First road game with a true freshman QB coming against a Brent Venables defense is about as tough as it can get.

OU with Mateer are pretty interesting. Hosting their former QB Jackson Arnold and Auburn in a few weeks. If they win that they’re most likely unbeaten headed into Red River.

There was a stretch of time in the second half where Army ran 41 offensive plays in a row to K-State’s 0. Wildcats returned a kickoff for a TD after Army’s initial score, and had a squib kick bounce off one of their upbacks on a squib kick after Army’s second score.

Dabo Sweeney might be down to 8 lives.
Brent Key is becoming a giant killer at Georgia Tech. With the way their schedule sets up I think they’re in great position to make the ACC CG.

Dabo has earned himself a long leash but he needs to make some significant overhauls to the program to avoid falling into 8-4 purgatory every year.

I love seeing Florida lose almost as much as I love seeing Alabama lose.
The fact that a Georgia fans likes seeing Alabama lose more than Florida these days is proof just how irrelevant Florida has been for the better part of 15 years now.

Clemson is less than 5 minutes away from a 1-3 record.

Not sure they make a bowl at this point.

Dabo needs to completely reimagine Clemson football. Time to join the big year 2025 and align with what the other major programs are doing. Clemson brought in exactly four transfers this year and you just can’t win at a very high level without being active in the portal anymore - using it, at a minimum, to patch holes in the roster.

11 sacks for OU. That Brent Venables defense is just different.
Clemson has to be missing Brent Venables in a major way their defense isnt the same way without him.
I am glad Oklahoma has been patient and given him time to build something.

All things considered I can’t say I hate it. We were bound to have a random third pairing unless they got really weird in other matchups.
Also pleasantly surprised they restored the Battle of Highway 82(State-Bama).

You can nitpick a few here and there but in general they nailed it.

It’ll admittedly be a bit weird not seeing LSU/Alabama annually, as that’s been one of the defining series of the 21st century. But there really wasn’t much there pre-Saban.

This was a bit of a surprise to hear at first but it makes sense upon research - this Saturday will be the first time Kirby Smart’s Georgia has hosted Alabama. Since 2016 they’ve played:

@ Atlanta 4x (3 SEC CG, 1 NCG)
@ Tuscaloosa 2x (2020, 2024)
@ Indianapolis 1x (NCG)
