They pretty much wrote him off in pre-race.

One thing I've learned in the playoffs is you can't count Joey Logano out until the fat lady starts singing. And sometimes, you can't count him out after she done her song.

Well that’s how Martinsville has always been. It was Richard Petty followed by Cale Yarborough followed by Darrell Waltrip followed by Jimmie & Jeff and now Ryan Blaney is on a roll there

Was talking to a buddy of mine who races Miata’s. The reason the MX-5 works at Martinsville is because the corners work more like a road course than an oval. Makes sense he does well here. It’s all about good braking and rolling the corner
