College Football 2025

Joining opt-outs Iowa State and Kansas State, who both had coaching changes.

I think a number of bowl games are not long for this world, which is unfortunate.
Yeah, I agree. They basically have become meaningless. Initially because of the over satiation of them and now because of the expanded playoff field. The playoffs are now definitely the focus. Everything else is just filling time for ESPN.

Also Bama can't be punished for losing in the CCG, but BYU can?

Literally every CCG loser dropped besides Bama. In hindsight, they definitely set this up by leaping Alabama over Notre Dame last week, despite struggling to put away Auburn while ND blitzed Stanford. They built in a cushion for them just in case. It’s ridiculous.

Inappropriate relationship?
detained by police?

Why would the police detain him, I doubt it was anything like an underaged girl.
Sounds like something domestic happened. Rumors are he crashed out and started threatening suicide and may have banged on the door of his side piece’s residence. Lots of rumors but certainly nothing good.

This year's playoff is basically an SEC Tournament.
The SEC is very deep but not elite at the top end. It wouldn’t at all be a surprise to see three B1G teams in the semifinals and two of them in the NCG.

Georgia is the only SEC team I would consider a real national title contender.

You can transfer immediately in the NCAA after a coaching change it's not like it used to be. National signing day basically means nothing these days.
I understand that. But they still purposely (speculation) waited until after NSD and got their players in house before breaking this news.

Or it's a state job that requires a completed official investigation in order to fire an employee for cause. They are going to lose most of the recruiting class regardless. There's no benefit in recruiting to wait as any of the players can transfer to any school today.

Apparently the straw that broke the camel’s back was the staffer herself coming out to the University. It makes sense given the allegations that Moore had more recently begun stalking her.

I'm not so sure they will lose most of their recruiting class. Moore was a terrible coach and the UM brand is bigger than him. Also depends on what the coaching staff looks like as most of the recruits likely have a much better relationship with them than Moore.

Thought we weren't supposed to get political here, but since you went there,

Ask the midshipmen and cadets who they prefer serving.

At least Trump knows where he is afterward.

Biden would call heads or takemansppeical

Biden would have taken the coin and given it to illegal aliens

The ref would have been a man pretending to be a woman

Due to Bidenflation he would have needed to flip a c-note

The security guards would have been replaced with social workers

The teams would have to be renamed to avoid offending anybody we've ever gone to war with.

Hunter woud have snorted the goal line

I could go on but I think you get my point. Happy to keep a friendly non-political conversation here.
