the IHRA bought his track, her track, now MY track

Well I doubt IHRA is gonna prevent NASCAR from using The Rock, or any other track they have.
*IndyCar . Is the Memphis oval still usable? IndyCar needs all the non nascar affiliated ovals it can get

Well one series hasn't even ran a race yet and the other has names like Harvick and Earnhardt running it.

IHRA has a rules package and purse that can attract dozens of lower budget racers who got priced out of CARS Tour, plus Pro Late Models.

The buzz behind IHRA and the need for change in the models here is unreal.

I'd love to see IHRA's non-compete clause. "Sure, you can run Trucks and O'Reilly at Rockingham, but you'll have to agree those series can only run on IHRA tracks for three consecutive seasons." ;)

Let's be honest we've seen some many series like this flop. At this point they should be hopeful of still being around in 3 years.

I hope they are because I'm all about more racing, just history isn’t on their side

Actually glad someone with some $$$ purchased The Rock. It still needs an infusion of cash for operating expenses, added upgrades, etc. NASCAR events will be more than welcome, and encouraged to bring a Cup event in the future.

The concern NASCAR had, and has, is for losing their drivers and having the sanctioned cars running in a competing series. IHRA’s new series isn’t doing that, and is even more “local track racers” oriented than the CARS tour. Has anyone considered the possibility that the new owner of Rockingham could be seeking cooperative assistance with NASCAR? It’s possible they could end up working more closely together at selected tracks, where NASCAR would welcome the IHRA late models to have a midweek race prior to the Cup events. Or everything may stay separate, but possibly allowed to compete at selected short tracks. Frankly I’d thought that might be a future goal of the CARS tour. MOST likely none of that occurs.

With what little I know about IHRA, when I first saw the headlines I thought they'd bought the separately-owned drag strip across the road from the oval.
