Should Nascar add a Constructors Championship?

Figuring out the points might be a little hard, but I think more people would be interested in that over a manufacturer championship.

It would be kind of cool to see Penske and HMS or something like that battling it out.

You could do something like average finish of all cars, top 36 finishes for an organization, top 2 cars combined points......

That's a single car and is essentially the same as the drivers. I'm talking using points from multiple cars in the same organization to give out a team championship. You can have one car run good, but this would take into account the performance of all cars under the same team

That's why I said you'd have to come up with a points using average finish, or best 2 cars or something.

It’s fair in F1 because every team is two cars per the rules. I don’t know how NASCAR could make it fair when Gibbs and Hendrick have four entries (and the extra data from having those extra cars to keep finding more speed) compared to the likes of Legacy or Haas. It would be totally skewed, even more than F1 constructors points already is.

What smaller teams? RCR, Hyak, and RWR? Everyone else is at least a 3 car organization
