this is unbelievable
Uh. They got a charter? What are you talking about lolmNot bad for a team with no charters.![]()
His 1st real win came today. One without luck on his side. Congrats either way.
If he collapses enough to fall out of the top 16 in points by the end of the first 26 races, then he wouldn't deserve to run for a championship anyway. If I’m right about the playoffs
Reddick could string together a bunch of bad races and miss the playoffs
Would be a shame but could happen
I hate how raving fans classify wins. A wins a win, I don’t think the teams and drivers careAny win is a real win. Luck is part of racing.
Good grief. His 1st real win came today. One without luck on his side. Congrats either way.
Fabulous post. I don't know why some of the US's feel like they need to tear a guy on a heater down. It is very interesting. Might have something to do with the US's favorites....Reddick is fun to watch, and I have great respect for the fact that he was distracted last year because of his kid. That humanity makes him real....and those of us that are dads, can relate. I am enjoying this.....particularly the part about Tyler's horsepower advantage on the front straight at COTA that necessitates an emergency dyno check. LOL.From my arm chair, I've seen Reddick win three races so far in 2026.
Did he cheat? No!
Did he wreck someone, a la Austin Dillon, for the win? No?
Did NASCAR give him a nudge of favoritism that allowed him to win? No!
So why question his ability. He's proven himself on various tracks and when he wins, he wins fair and square. How often do you see a driver, when hounded as he was by Blaney and SVG, manage to keep his head while driving on the toughest road course on the schedule. He hit his marks and did not get rattled. Damn tooting he had a car that worked for him but he has also produced very good results with cars that sucked. Reddick has gone from the front to the back and come to the front again. Most recently without a front fender.
Don't be selling this guy short. He's the real deal. Plus he's fun to watch and for me anyway, easy to cheer for.
Get used to it. Nobody likes a winner.Fabulous post. I don't know why some of the US's feel like they need to tear a guy on a heater down. It is very interesting. This is almost always universally true in my experience. Go to a new track and the guy that won the last two or three track championships will the same guy that everybody is hating.Get used to it. Nobody likes a winner.
When I raced with Charles Powell at Myrtle Beach we won 4 Championships and they hated us. We were cheaters they said and booed they hell out of us every weekend. I remember the All Pro Series came to town and we qualified on the pole, when they introduced Charles we got booed and Jeff Purvis was standing by Charles and he said " you know how to get them back on your side don't you?" Charles said How? Purvis said " Run like a turd" lolThis is almost always universally true in my experience. Especially when they get to the pay windowI hate how raving fans classify wins. A wins a win, I don’t think the teams and drivers care
Sad to see this happening. He showed so much potential at the beginning of the season... Maybe next year.Boy is he really starting to slip....
Never discount the power of an RF thread and post. Reddick obviously read the constructive feedback and got his head back into the game.Does P13 Tyler Reddick even give a damn anymore or he did just go to Vegas to see the shows and buffet?
Should someone make an intervention?

Rocky Balboa got satisfied and his friend Apollo Creed paid for it with his life.
With nine races completed, the 2026 season is at the 25% completion mark; it can also be expressed as the end of the first quarter.
The five drivers with a win are also in the top 5 when it comes to average finish. Reddick is much better than anyone else in those two categories, and it is not even close.
He has won over half the races (55.6%). When it comes to the Average Finish he is almost as twice as good as his nearest competitor.
If Tyler Reddick doesn't win another race this season: there is still a strong possibility that he finishes the year with most wins. He will also have a 14% winning percentage at the minimum (5/36 =13.88)

No disrespect intended (we all have a right to our opinion), but that is one of the reasons I hate the chase and the resets. At some point, the field is going to catch up. This is why I love the Chase.
That points lead WILL give an advantage. You are this good, this fast all year? Great. You have 10 points paying races to do it a bit longer and seal the deal. At this point, if someone else out performs you, not just by scoring more points, but by making up at least a 15 point gap in 10 races with your performance this year, you aren't the deserving champion.
This is what's great about the chase. The season's best team has a chance to do it again over a 2.5 month stretch, with a small advantage. Insurmountable if you really ARE that much better. If you are just good enough to be barely the second best in the chase, you are probably good enough.
Someone is gonna make this chase interesting.
Wiping out the larger advantage the best team accumulated over the first 26 races. The season's best team has a chance to do it again over a 2.5 month stretch, with a small advantage.

I want the champion to be the driver with the best results for the entire season, with no second chances for being off early in the season.
If they want a chase, they should just count points for the last 10 races and nothing else. I can't state how much I hate the resets; they are a cherry-picked distortion. If someone gets behind by an insurmountable amount of points, they just weren't good enough, and they don't deserve a second chance.
If they want to be the champion they should bring their A game to the track every week, for the entire season.
I might agree IF the field had 'caught up'. It didn't. It was given an edge at the expense of the best team. Now, prove it when the field has caught up,
But that 'outperforming' will be done via a gift of points at the 3/4 point. But, if starting next week, the 5, 12, 9 or 11 starting matching his pace, and slowly creeping into that lead, and finishing the season that way, we'd be looking at Reddick being so much better than the field for the first quarter of the season in terms of points, that the fact that another driver or two has out performed him for the remaining 3/4th of the season,
I might agree IF the field had 'caught up'. It didn't. It was given an edge at the expense of the best team.

You, and (I'll take the liberty of adding) Greg and I, aren't going to agree on this. No big deal, it's just sports.
